Operational Responsibilities

- Responsible for service delivery of the Record to Report process in the COPERNIC model

- Shall be having operational responsibility of a few countries

- Troubleshoot bottlenecks / issues in the overall process and drive for resolution

- Undertake process improvements and enhance productivity

- Enable Best Practice sharing across geographies leading to enhanced productivity

- Enhance resilience in the process through qualitative measures

- Will be a single point of contact for the countries in the COPERNIC model

- Shall be responsible for transition of the end to end process from entities

- Shall be responsible for providing vertical leadership and managing migration

- Responsible for transversal responsibilities at a F&A CoE level

Managerial Responsibilities

- Manage a team of Managers having operational responsibilities (people issues, hiring, retention, performance management etc.)

- Lead and motivate the team to facilitate achievement of key performance indicators and efficiency.

Service Level Management

- Deliver in accordance with agreed key performance metrics of turnaround time, quality, productivity etc.

Education and Experience

- Qualified Chartered Accountant.

- Close to 7-10 years- experience in Record to Close or similar finance function is essential.

- Understanding of the current regulatory requirements in India and European countries will be an added advantage.

- Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre environment is preferable.

- Ability to interact with all layers in the finance organization at group and entity level.

- Ability to speak up and to propose improvements in processes,

Key Skills and Competencies

- Strong Customer Relationship management skills

- Good People Management abilities

- Good logical, analytical and problem solving abilities

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively

- Ability to handle process escalations, identify issues and risks and propose resolution

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

- Ability to lead a function and build a dynamic work culture

Language Skills

- Fluency in English - speaking, reading and writing

- Other European languages are an advantage

Technical Competencies

- Knowledge of SAP, Magnitude and Business Objects or similar applications is required

- Insurance Industry experience preferred

- Exposure to accounting applications used for record to close, reporting and consolidation activities required

- Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP is essential.

- Excellent knowledge of Regulatory Reporting

- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel required

- Ability to perform tasks on multiple computer applications
