Head Procurement

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Procurement having expertise in Design and Build vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement function, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and managing vendor relationships to support the development and expansion of our workspace offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the goals and objectives of the Design and Build vertical, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Construction, and Operations, to understand project requirements and establish procurement plans to support project timelines and budgets.

2. Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for various categories including construction materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and other related services.

- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while maintaining quality standards and budget constraints.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as needed to drive continuous improvement.

3. Strategic Sourcing:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities in procurement and supply chain management.

- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate supply chain risks.

4. Contract Management:

- Oversee the contract management process, including contract negotiation, review, and administration, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor contract performance, terms, and obligations, resolving any issues or disputes that may arise in a timely and effective manner.

5. Budget and Cost Management:

- Develop and manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates, tracking expenses and variances to ensure alignment with project budgets and financial objectives.

- Implement cost-saving initiatives and value engineering strategies to maximize project profitability and minimize procurement costs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.

- Minimum of 15- 20 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor management, with a focus on construction, design, and build projects.

- Proven track record of success in leading procurement teams and managing complex procurement processes in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management, with the ability to drive favorable outcomes and mitigate risks.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make informed decisions.

- Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and industry trends in the real estate/construction sector.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.

- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software.
