AVP/VP - Relationship - Investment Banking

Our Client is an investment banking and security firm and is a part of one of the largest private sector bank.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Sector and Industry Mapping

- Tracking key developments in the Sector & Target Companies

- Business understanding of key companies in the sector

- In depth financial analysis of key companies in the sector

- Pitch/Investor Presentations facilitation with Product teams

- Data mining - Sourcing third party research

- Producing periodic sector updates / company theme papers

- Building strong financial modeling skills

- Developing product knowledge of at least one product

- Interaction with Research / IBD Product / Sales teams to build relevant expertise

- Networking with industry bodies and corporate at appropriate level

REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

- AVP report to Executive Director (ED)

KEY RESULT AREAS (KRA)

- Champion of the sector

- Internal (Research / IBD Product / Sales) and External Co ordination

- Research /Product Distribution to Corporate / Investor Clients

- Quality and Timelines of Pitch/Investor presentation

- Quality and Timelines of Financial Modeling

Education, Experience and Skills required

1. Financial and Analytical skills

2. Tools

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Familiarity with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters

3. Organisational skills

- Organise work, manage multiple projects, coordinate with different people, meet deadlines

- Attention to detail and process discipline

- Drive things to a close

4. Interpersonal skills

- Ability to listen, learn and understand

5. Education

- MBA or CA

6. Experience

- 8+ years of experience in Relationship role in Investment Banking
