Product Manager for General Insurance - head of the GI product team
- Overall responsibility for managing the distribution activity of the product category for the bank including P&L, regulatory compliance and audit and quality aspects.
- Develop and implement innovative products with the insurer and devise digital solutions for increasing the penetration of the product on the banks base through ease of sale.
- To co-ordinate with all internal departments of the bank for various product & process related items and create and drive relevant programs and schemes
- To help channel in analytics based Lead generation from existing database
- To create and manage product training programs across the country through the insurer/training team.
- To support channel with planned customer campaigns & marketing drives.
- To analyze the industry trends and products & work out propositions for suitable segments.
- To handle the distance/ direct marketing initiatives in co-ordination with the third party vendor, insurance partner & the in-house teams for the General Insurance.
- To drive General Insurance IRDA certification of the team.
- To have regular communications with channel on business drives, support items, recognition programs and regulatory changes.
- Ensuring delivery of all items related to product, P&L, MIS, digital, IT and analytics for the entire bank including all its divisions like assets, rural, agri apart from the main consumer bank.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Post Graduate Degree with relevant work experience in Banking/Insurance
- Basic understanding of general insurance products & business.
- Digital savvy in both understanding customer trends and devising solutions.
- Analytical skills to evaluate various product/process ideas and deliver to the customers/channel.
- Team player with ability to work with wide and diverse group of teams on various projects and connect with the sales teams for driving the distribution channels.
- Strong mindset to adhere & comply with internal compliance & audit norms/requirements
- Should be a result oriented, go-getter, have a passion for success and be able to work under deadlines
