AVP/VP - Product Management - IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/FMS/MDI

Role:

The candidate will be hands on technologist with solid exposure to consumer internet business, SAS and proficient in Agile Development Methodology and shall be responsible for Technical Product Development. As a leader, you will own end to end performance of our products and be a front runner. You would be working with a strong and inspiring leader who is a mission driven SVP and would be keen to ensure your growth with the company.

Key Responsibility Areas - 

- Build and evangelize short-term and long-term product vision in close partnership with the product engineering and design peers.

- Provide vision to see around corners and inspire innovation across the product organization.

- Use analytics tools to make smarter, more data-informed decisions.

- Stay on top of the competitive landscape to neutralize potential threats.

- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to phasing out of the product(s) across the entire portfolio.

- Inspire, motivate, develop and lead a team of technology and product management professionals to build and deliver world-class products that make a difference for our customers and foster the ecosystem of good.

- Proactively research, evaluate, and stay informed on marketplace, current products, technologies, and available third party solutions to maintain vision and meet our overall product strategy.

- Work closely with product marketing teams in creating product video, customer case studies, product data sheets and content for social media.

- Consistently improve our product offerings through rigorous testing, evaluation, and analysis of key measurements resulting in optimizing user experience.

Skills and Expertise:

Mandatory

- 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience, start-up experience would be a plus.

- Proven ability to build a solid team and thrive in dynamic environment.

- Very strong bias towards actions - result oriented and pro-active.

- Excellent project management skills to plan and monitor progress.

- Exposure to Mobile Web-App development, hands on open source technology including PHP, MYSQL, Jquery, Javascript, Python, Hadoop, AngularJS, React, Cassandra.

- Experience with debugging tools like selenium, xdebug.

- Must possess strong hold in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.

- Experience in building large scale system designs - Technology stack.

- Strong hold in backend development and algorithms

- Experience working in Agile or SCRUM process

- Knowledge of technical SEO

Desired

- Experience of managing product development team for a high traffic website

- Experience of incubating technology based products/services

Education

- B.Tech and M.Tech and MBA from Tier 1 colleges.
