Summary

To Lead and manage end to end SCM Process of all the accounts in all regions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

- Formation and Implementation of strategy for business development

- Business planning & budgeting

- Business case preparation and presentation

- Support Business development team in achieving - Periodic business targets- .

- Generating relevant market intelligence

- If required, submit revised quotation, as per management guidelines.

- If special rates are to be offered, seek prior approval from HO-Marketing.

- Continue follow up till the deal is finalized or a dead-lock has emerged.

- Send the original contract copy to HO-Marketing.

- Profit centre management

- To produce, get sanctioned and to monitor the financial budget.

- Accountable for generation and submission of the bills.

- Collection of outstanding.

- Evaluation of each business and profitability.

Customer management

- Maintaining all the customers is primarily the responsibility of the Region / Area Head/Senior manager.

- Manage relationships with customers for all Logistics deliverables.

- Prepare presentations and lead the discussions in the periodical meeting with the customers and management.

- Development of relationship with customers.

Administrative

- Over all administrative control of Region

Vendor Management

- Manage relationships with vendors for all Logistics deliverables.

- Vendor development and management for warehouses, vehicles, infrastructure, manpower and all others related vendors / business associates.

Performance Management

- Monitor and Review SLAs / KPIs and trigger corrective actions as necessary.

- Develop and deliver various training programs for developing & mentoring team.

Manpower planning.

- Performance evaluation of all the employees in the Region.

- Performance Review Meeting has to be conducted on a periodic basis with Marketing, Finance, CRM and Ops team.

Process Improvement

- Draft the Process in close coordination with Marketing, Finance and other interfaces.

Knowledge

Supply Chain Management

- Supply chain processes, cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution

- Transportation Management

- Major players in transportation, KPIs /SLAs for the transporters.

Warehouse Management

- Major players in warehouse management, latest trends in technology, storage and standards, KPIs for the warehouse owners

Financial acumen

- Margin structure, basic ratios, profit & loss statements, working capital requirements, ROI, cash flows and cost benefit analysis, statutory and regulatory requirements

Functional Skills

Planning & Organizing

- Establishing a systematic course of action for self and team to ensure accomplishment of objectives

- Setting priorities, goals and timetables to achieve maximum productivity

- Adapting and managing effectively in a fast paced changing environment

- Developing or using systems to organize and keep track of information and record activities related to accomplishment of stated objectives

- On time delivery

- Setting priorities with an appropriate sense of what is most important

- Planning the set priorities with an appropriate and realistic sense of the time demand involved

- Knowing status of one's own work at all times and striving to achieve the stated deadlines

- Identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

- Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

- Monitor the implementation of the plan and verify if the problem has been resolved

- Identify all key stakeholders and their interests

- Evaluate people, interests, options, and criteria

- Explore positions and alternatives to reach outcomes that result in achieving the organizational objectives

- Plan and prepare for required outcomes

- Determine minimal or ideal conditions of the other party during negotiations

- Respond to opposing views in a non-defensive manner

Education: PG in Logistics or Supply chain or Equivalent course

Experience: 15 + years in supply chain management

Key Skills: Operation of 3 PL/Warehouse/Transportation
