Brief Outline: Suitable candidates must have relevant experience in conductng customised/syndicated research for clients in industries like Life Sciences, Chemicals, Energy, Automative and Electronics. These research assignments are in the area of Strategy and Marketing, IP, R&D and areas that constitute the client's Decision Support System. Excellent domain knowledge along with research background is a must for this role.

Span of Control

Responsible for :

- Practice area's (Specific cluster of assigned domains/sectors) revenue target within the cost matrix.

- Implementing systems, processes and technology within the practice area to increase revenues, quality, market penetration, competencies, and cost competitiveness.

- Ensuring business continuity in the practice area

Finance : Ensure practice area revenue target is serviced within the cost matrix and maximize profitability

Operations : Responsible to conceptualize, design, develop and implement tools, methods and processes in the assigned practice area:

- To continuously review, define and implement the practice area's goals, objectives and milestones in alignment with RDIPT vision, goals and objectives

- To ensure efficient operations, high quality and on-time client deliverables

- To enhance client experience and engagement

- To realize the potential contract / order value on every deal

- To manage client scope and expectations on every deal

- For deployment and management of global alliance network relevant to practice area

- To establish early warning systems to alert Client and internal stakeholders on obstacles / challenges with respect to any deliverables

- To identify and provide solutions for obstacles / challenges with respect to any deliverables

- For the capacity utilization strategy

- To ensure adherence to the communication matrix, SLAs, frequency, timelines agreed with Clients

- To ensure workforce planning, hiring, training and on-boarding of onsite and extended ops members in line with requirement of Operations

- Implementation of review and reporting mechanisms for each role in the practice area

Solutions :

- Responsible for continuous creation, review and implementation of collaterals showcasing the practice area competencies and capabilities

- Responsible for creating solutions and deal structures and work in sync with the solutions & sales function to ensure pipeline conversion and deal wins for the practice area

- Provide inputs to the Division Head/Delivery Head on new product and service offerings

Training & Coaching :

- Responsible for implementation, coaching and training of the practice area in tools, methods and processes to achieve goals, objectives and milestones, enhance client experience and engagement and maximize revenue potential

- Ensuring robust knowledge management and knowledge sharing practices within the practice area

Continual improvement :

- Responsible for continual improvement of all tools, methods and processes across practice area

- Responsible to ensure that the practice area represents and maintains the brand image and identity of the organisation during every client interaction throughout the delivery lifecycle

People :

Responsible to identifying workforce needs, workforce planning, training, on boarding, and mentoring of human resources in the practice area :

- For identifying and addressing gaps in competencies and skills

- To coach on skills and competencies to address identified gaps

- To attract, retain and motivate staff (onsite and alliance network)

- Responsible to promote culture of high performance and continuous improvement with commitment to quality

- Responsible to implement succession planning within all leadership areas and client engagement areas within the practice area

- Responsible for fair and equitable performance assessment and skill development for all team-members

Customer :

Responsible to conceptualize, design, develop and implement tools, methods and processes in the practice area :

- To ensure customer satisfaction

- To ensure client retention, renewal and relationship expansion
