AVP/VP Lead IT Application

PURPOSE: Application product leader who manages the Applications, has specific responsibility for building & configuring, maintaining & enhancing, and eventually decommissioning software products through the life cycle.

CRITICAL:

1) Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the applications organization to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals.

2) Work with Business to develop an overall application strategy in the context of the business strategy and initiatives of the Organization.

3) Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities.

4) To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the development teams.

5) Accountable for the on time and quality delivery of software development projects.

6) Responsible for the maintenance and development of internal and external IT support systems.

7) Research the external environment, and where appropriate identify and recommend external partners for the delivery of best in class technologies suitable for applications.

8) Identifying and implementing technology trends that will be able to support the future success of the business.

ROUTINE:

1) Work effectively with stakeholders to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.

2) Ensure delivery consistent with Agile processes across the team.
