AVP/VP - Delta-1 Trading - Investment Bank

We have an URGENT position for DELTA-1 TRADING (AVP/ VP) with a leading UK based investment bank, Mumbai.

Desk and Role overview

- The Delta-1 desk product offerings include (the underlying could be a single stock or index or custom basket of stocks): (1) Equity Swaps (2) Equity Futures/Forwards/Synthetics (3) Dividend Swaps/Futures (4) ETFs (5) Certificates/Notes

- The Delta-1 client base includes three types of accounts: (1) Directional Accounts (2) Funding/financing Clients (directional and other accounts might also use D1 products to manage their cash) (3) Dislocation/Arbitrage Accounts (relatively new looking to play market anomalies).

- Delta-1 desk products primarily have direct risk on either or both of the following: (1) All-in Financing (2) Net and Gross dividends. Delta-1 Trading Mumbai will support the delta-1 trading team in London and the role includes risk management, strategy formulation and management for the Delta-1 Business group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Help in developing and managing different trading strategies across D1 parameters. This will include monitoring the performance of different D1 strategies and help optimize their performance.

- Development and enhancement of existing modelling for D1 risk parameters. This would not only help highlighting trading opportunities but in better risk management as well.

- Help increase coverage universe for Delta-1 products hence helping develop the client franchise.

- Help in risk management of the delta-1 desk. This will include help the desk manage repo, dividend, TC, cross-currency, index tracking, delta, interest rate and fx risks.

- This will include help building MIs across different risk systems to generate a unified Delta-1 risk report for the different parameters.

- Help the desk in maintaining proper marks for the different parameters across products.

- Looking at market opportunities to optimally manage our current risk exposure on financing and dividends.

Key Skills:

- Capital Markets Trading or Ideas generation for Trading - 3+ years of experience

- Good understanding of market dynamics and fundamentals in general.

- Quantitative skills - excellent with numbers

- Good communication skills, confidence to interact with traders in London/ NY/Asia

- Very good understanding of Derivatives

Desirable:

- Delta-1 Trading/ Strategy development Experience

- Structuring Experience

- Programming skills would be useful.

- Engineering and/or MBA from a top school
