We have a wonderful opening with one of a global infrastructure major company in Bangalore.

Company Brief :

- The company based in Bangalore headquartered global infrastructure major with interests in Airports, Energy, Highways and Urban Infrastructure sectors. Founded in 1978, the Group is well diversified and professionally managed. Employing the Public Private Partnership model, the Group has successfully implemented several iconic infrastructure projects in India.

- In the Airports sector, the Group operates India’s busiest airport, the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, where it has built a brand new integrated terminal T3. It is the biggest terminal in India and one of the largest in the world.

- The Group has 15 power generation assets of which 8 are operational and 7 are under various stages of development.

Position: AVP/VP - Corporate Affairs & Regulatory

Experience: 20 to 25 Years

Location of Posting: Delhi

Education Required: B.E - Electrical

Education: Engineering with an MBA preferred (LLB also can be considered). The candidate should be from Power Industry.

- The incumbent will be responsible for Corporate Affairs and Regulatory matters at Delhi. The candidate should have very good knowledge / understanding on the power sector and also should have very good relationship with Power Ministry, MoC, CEA, CERC, etc.

Job Summary:

- Hands on experience in Power Sector Regulatory matters.

- Market Scanning and Research in tracking any changes in the Regulatory Policy framework in order to develop and deploy Enterprise Risk Management framework for GMR Energy.

- Advising the management on the regulatory issues impacting the business options.

- Provide relevant business inputs with respect to developing strategic business plans and annual operating plans in line with corporate strategy.

- Financial Modeling with respect to existing and future PPAs.

- Reviews of PPAs and ensure effective PPA Management.

- Develop generation tariff for the present and upcoming power projects.

- Provide bid advisory assistance for tariff based competitive bidding (Case-2) projects.

- Monitor transmission corridor availability to be able to take prudent business decisions on short term market sales.

- Advice on sale of power in short term market.

- Provide inputs and lead in all the electricity regulatory business tasks including review petitions, regulatory compliances, liaison with state and central regulatory commission and govt., review policies and regulations, provide technical inputs in various regulatory issues.

- Work with legal team in regulatory dealings.
