What are the minimum prior qualifications to be an applicant for this role :
- At least 10+ years of experience with minimum of 5-6+ years in operational management role leading a medium to large team ( 50-60 members)
- Payroll domain
Key Accountabilities/ Job Description :
- Ensure Monthly end to end payroll processing of a legal entity in timely manner e.g.- Perform all necessary analysis for every week close and monitor Union dues, Termination, Garnishments, PTO calculations etc
- Ensure effective operation of Payroll process
- Monitor day to day operations to ensure that the team meets service levels and compliance requirements
- Facilitate internal and external audit of the payroll process
- Motivating team to drive standardization across the processes in Payroll tower
- Engaging with the process owner's / GPL's on a regular basis to understand changing requirements and expectations
- Effectively resolve the queries & timely communication of both internal and external issues
- On an ongoing basis assess customer satisfaction levels and recommend improvement opportunities to the Global Business Service team
- Ensure that the budgeting cycle deadlines are met and that there are no accuracy issues.
Required Skills :
- Driving operations as per signed of SLA / KPI's
- Self starter and have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Driving for standardization of processes
- Be able to prioritize as the process would have many ad hoc requests from the business.
- Proficient at MS Excel, macros, pivot tables, etc.
- Have excellent communication skills as the process would involve a considerably high level of interaction with various customer groups.
- Team Leading experience is a must.( Span of 30-40 people)
- Should we willing to have a hands on approach with respect to the process.
- Experience in a shared service environment handling external clients
