AVP - Underwriting - Life Insurance

Location: Delhi/NCR

Education: Candidate Must have Doctor Education background/ Degree

Experience: 10+ years

Note: Must be from life insurance

KRA/ Skills:

Responsible for Underwriting risk assessment and placement of profitable lives on the company books

Management of reinsurance referral process, case placements with various reinsurers, feedback and updated underwriting guidelines in the reinsurance treaty

Develop, constant review and update of underwriting guidelines for all 3 channels, circulation of revised guidelines, questionnaires and formats

Monitoring of AML policy within Service Delivery and Branch Operations

Build on the Financial Crime Compliance processes, its implementation, monitoring and controls.

Be capable of preparing highly qualitative strategic notes for senior management as well as analytical decision making on changes to be implemented.

Manage and update Group Business medical underwriting guidelines and formats, reinsurance management and underwriting process

Manage the Individual Life Business underwriting process and risk assessment activities in a continuously evolving environment of the business, while ensuring optimum utilization of available resources

Recruitment and retention of underwriting staff and recognition of training needs

Initiate IT System enhancements, develop and modify processes

Feedback to Product team on plan specific underwriting requirements, product changes, wording of terms and conditions, proposal form requirements

Update and revert on underwriting requirements from IRDA or Life Insurance Council

Assist in Internal and external audit

Involvement in customer requirement resolution with sales which may require direct contact with customer in HNI and sensitive cases

Conduct trainings to sales and field operations

Underwriting vendor management

Underwriting MIS management

Reinstatement Underwriting for Policy Servicing

Customer complaint resolution
