AVP - Transfer Pricing - Investment Banking Domain

Objectives:

Core Responsibilities:

1. Work in close coordination with the IA GPO team, tax teams, business, finance and tax professionals

2. Regular interaction with business and controllers to understand the business model

3. Monitor International TP developments and initiate action plans

4. Perform functional interviews and understand extremely complex flows and products

5. Develop Internal Knowledge development tools and conduct in-house trainings pertaining to core transfer pricing

6. Act as a reviewer of the documents prepared by others

7. Participate in controversy management, as required

8. Coordinate with external advisors on successful defense of group TP strategy, where required

9. Assisting management in the advanced pricing agreement process

10. Implementing BEPS actionables across

11. Developing benchmarking analysis for financial transactions

12. Assistance in reengineering initiatives to enhance the process workflow and controls

13. Ad-hoc tax transfer pricing work

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Management of end-to-end documentation process for the allocated share of reports/ country responsibilities

2. Timely and effective escalation management for any business queries

3. Providing guidance to junior staff on complex queries

4. Leading and managing day-to-day calls with business to seek appropriate clarifications and information

5. Communicating ideas, issues, achievements and explanations effectively with the team and with Stakeholders

Key Deliverables:

1. Effective management of the TP documentation and ensuring the deliverables are met as per agreed milestones

2. Assistance in implementing BEPS actionables

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Preferred:

Education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics. Masters is a plus MBA Finance

Chartered Accountant

Experience: 7 plus years of experience in tax transfer pricing Financial Services Transfer Pricing

Certifications: Not applicable Not applicable

Skills: - Knowledge of tax transfer pricing and global TP guidelines (OECD guidelines, BEPS action plans)

- Ability to read and interpret regulations and decide on suitable course of action

- Good understanding of economics, financial management, statistics and taxation

- Excellent understanding of financial products and financial services industry

- Ability to work independently with limited direction
