Job Overview:

We are in search of a visionary and accomplished Strategic Sales Development Head to spearhead a team of Sales Development experts responsible for driving business targets in novel market areas. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Head, the selected candidate will occupy a pivotal role in identifying new prospects, enhancing our market footprint, and shaping the company's growth trajectory. Additionally, the Sales Development Head will collaborate closely with the Centre of Excellence and explore international business opportunities in strategic market segments including ABC, ART, Railways, and the Process industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Market Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales development strategy for the company's stainless steel products, emphasizing the creation of fresh market opportunities within strategic segments like ABC, ART, Railways, and the Process industry.

2. Team Leadership and Empowerment: Lead and nurture a high-performing Sales Development team, offering guidance, unwavering support, and inspiration to attain sales targets and strategic objectives.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Sales & Marketing Head and various cross-functional teams to align sales development initiatives with overarching business objectives.

4. International Business Opportunities: Identify and actively pursue international business opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and target unexplored global markets to broaden our reach and revenue streams.

5. Business Diversification: Identify and actively pursue fresh business opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and target unexplored customer segments to broaden our market reach and revenue streams.

6. Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and sustain robust relationships with pivotal industry stakeholders, clients, and partners to invigorate growth and amplify brand recognition.

7. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the Sales Development team, delivering consistent feedback, training, and development prospects to ensure ongoing improvement.

8. Financial Oversight: Construct and oversee budgets, forecasts, and reports linked to sales development activities, ensuring financial prudence and accountability.

9. P&L Responsibility: Assume full responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the Sales Development function, optimizing cost-efficiency and revenue generation.

10. Top Line Growth: Take a pivotal role in driving top-line growth, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and ensuring the successful execution of strategies to achieve and surpass revenue targets.

11. Collaboration with COE: Collaborate closely with the Centre of Excellence, leveraging their expertise in market analysis to inform and refine sales development strategies.

Qualifications:

- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.

- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of proven expertise in sales development, business development, or a related leadership role within the steel industry.

- Market Proficiency: In-depth insights and comprehension of the Indian steel market, with an emphasis on infrastructure, construction, transportation, and related sectors, including strategic segments such as ABC, ART, Railways, and the Process industry.

- Leadership Aptitude: Robust leadership and team management skills, supported by a history of cultivating and leading successful sales teams.

- Analytical Prowess: Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.

- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strategic Competence: A proven capacity to design and execute strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth and market expansion.

- Results-Oriented: A results-driven track record that demonstrates an ability to meet and surpass sales targets.
