AVP - Settlements - Investment Bank

We are looking for AVP -settlement for one of the leading investment banking.

Purpose of the Role

This position handles primary duties including but not limited to supervision and management of trade life cycle functions in middle office operations and controls. It also supposes to drive change within the organization by seeking efficiencies and synergies

Assets under the purview are FX, Options, IRS, CDS, CTY, MM, Repos, Bonds, Equities, Cash Equity and Listed Derivatives

This position includes monitoring and ownership of quality, controls and projects as required.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables;

Owns relationships with Trading Desks/Business Lines and acts as a primary contact for new client/activity on boarding.

Partners with IT (Production Services, Development) for monitoring and systems enhancement

Assists the department heads to develop and refine activity reporting, operational policies, procedures and controls that contribute to the efficiency of the operations department locally and globally.

Maintains on-going managerial responsibility for the regional teams through recruiting, training, retaining and motivating team members.

Participates to key industry workshops and regulatory groups related to operations activities

Continuous monitoring of key business related activities and effectively document and communicate findings to Top Management.

Work on building Strategic relationship with mgmt onshore and key business partners

Managing and guiding the team in the right direction to improve individually and also to make them contribute for the improvement of the process. Follow-up the implementation of new controls

Follow-up to resolve and validate open issues noted during reviews by internal/external entities.

Participate in strategic decision making and assisting Top Management in any management related activities/projects.

Assists with development and management of policies, procedures and activities appropriate to the operation and which address regulatory/economic changes.

Challenge of handling an end to end product life cycle which will sharpen the interaction and problem solving skills

Delivery and Operations

Periodically monitor, review and build new strategies, trainings to ensure the team is dynamic and quite adaptive to change.

Good analytical and problem solving skills
