Role & responsibilities
Purpose of the job : Assisting the Head of Fund Accounting deliver responsibilities across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the production, audit and publication of the annual reports of the Company including liaison with the fund administrators and the external auditors;
- Perform Schedule of Investment (SOI) reconciliations to ensure investments are classified correctly per the fair value hierarchy in the accounting standards (IFRS 13/ASC 820);
- Provide expense analysis (TER/OCF/OOC) and profitability analysis for the Company ;
- Shadow review all year-end, roll-over, and mid-year crystallization performance fee calculations from the administrator.
Role Specific Competencies:
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of fund reporting standards including IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP and IMA SORP;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and business writing skills;
- Highly organized with good time management and planning skills.
Formal Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) ideally with experience at an accounting, asset management firm, or an auditor of IM firms.
