Credit Risk - Institutional (AVP / Senior Associate / Associate) for an NBFC
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and business risk for financial institutions/ Corporates and provide an accurate update on their overall business model from a risk perspective
- Be brilliant with numbers, analyzing financial statements, interpreting data, and solving problems. Understand the balance sheet and analyze financial statements
- Participate in due diligence and analysis, preparation of credit proposals, undertaking market research, and presenting to the management
- Experience in developing risk scorecard/risk score models would be an added advantage.
- Experience in conducting due diligence in various sectors like retail, manufacturing, Hospitality, Food, beverage, and financial sector will be required
- Make sense of global markets and macros-economic analysis, drivers, what regulators do.
- Assess the credit risks and suggest suitable risk mitigants
- Present and provide recommendations to the credit committee around the risk portfolio of the clients based on multiple aspects
- Help Stitch and execute a deal where necessary with the client solutions team.
- Manage and influence internal as well as external stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Finance / CFA
- 1 to 10 years of relevant credit assessment experience in corporates
- Experience with the Credit rating agencies, banks, and NBFCs will be preferred
- Structured credit/lending or portfolio/credit monitoring teams of Banks / NBFCs / PE / Debt funds / Rating agencies
- Experience in handling due diligence or transaction advisory
- Be brilliant with numbers, analyzing financial statements, managing, and interpreting data, and solving problems to aid in credit underwriting
- Have excellent report writing and communication skills
- Possess a good eye for detail and have demonstrated the ability to work under tight timelines
- Be willing to travel extensively pan-India for on-field monitoring of clients
