Job Description

An AVP Sales is responsible for directing a variety of administrative processes that allow a city to operate. It is their job is to implement and oversee policies crafted by city council. They are also responsible for documenting and presenting the city budget as well as interfacing with the community to develop new programs.

Job Profile

City Manager/P&L Head / AVP

The Opportunity:

This job encompasses a gamut of roles and responsibilities. The Business Head would be responsible for overall business growth in the city and drive the P&L for all product categories. One of the major responsibilities of this role would be to create and plan the short and long term strategy for the city and take charge of executing it on the ground.

- The business head would have to coordinate with all functions like product, sales and marketing, channel management, operations to achieve the desired results and targets. He would have to gain hands-on exposure to all facets of this fast growing venture, including Operations, Sales, Marketing and HR to be able to chart out the growth trajectory effectively.

- He would be required to ensure smooth running of the machinery of the City, which requires end-to-end ownership of each and every process, function, people and money and own the progress of Qikwell brand.

- He is expected to instill ownership and effective coordination across the functions and act like a bridge between HO/Central team and local teams

This is an opportunity to work directly with the Founder/CEO and senior management team on a regular basis; strategize and execute key initiatives of the Company

- Creating Brand Awareness: Initiation and execution of 360 degree brand awareness campaigns / tools to manage and effectively expand a network of our business partners. Creating strategies and Business products as per local demands with respect to supply side of the business. Inducting agencies/channel partners to execute plans.

- Financial Planning and Performance: Own the P&L of the city. Make a growth plan in conjunction with other teams and ensure the targets are met.

- Communicate Vision and Purpose: Ability to communicate a compelling & inspired vision of what needs to be achieved for the business to realize its mission and goals. Gains commitment from all involved in delivering their specific part

- Result focus - Set realistic and stretching performance expectations for self and others. Regularly reviews progress and acts to ensure optimal results for the business.

- Organization: Hire and manage a high performance team. Ensure their objectives of growth and performance are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all divisional activities and functions.

- Responsible for managing the division's budget, expenses and profitability.

- Set the leadership example for all employees.

- Build rapport and relationships with strategic customers.

- Be actively involved with the community and business organizations.

- Select, train, direct and motivate employees; appraise performance and create development plans for division to assure a stable and competent organization.

- Facilitate and manage the career paths of all divisional employees.

- Responsible for the division's safety program and the wellness of the employees.

- Responsible for all operational aspects of the division, including vehicles, inventory and the building upkeep and security.

- Other duties as assigned.

Direct and manage service center sales activities including:

- Developing sales objectives and strategies; identifying and evaluating new customers, market conditions and competitive pressures

- Identifying opportunities and making recommendations to maximize sales, increase margins and expand market share

- Manage and assist in developing sales expertise and knowledge of product lines. Ensure customer relations are maintained at a high level, including sales calls and negotiations as necessary

- Develop and execute sales and business strategies. Determine sales force account assignments, monitor and review sales performance, including goals achievement, margins, customer complaints and territory management

- Leadership by example

- Assume direct responsibility for accounts as required by business conditions

- Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Requirements:

- 5+ years previous management experience - industry experience preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical skills.

- Exceptional people skills.

- Proven record of superior leadership in building a team-based organization.

- Demonstrated/effective organizational skills, conflict management skills, and problem solving skills.

- Ability to interact professionally with vendors, customers and corporate & division personnel.

- Ability to delegate and to get results through others.

- Strong decision-making skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to learn and utilize company software programs.
