JOB PURPOSE

A seasoned Finance professional responsible to lead and manage the transition of Business Performance Reporting, Information Management, and Scorecards & Analytics processes for Retail Finance. The key requirement for the role is the ability to understand the Retail business, plan, project manage and migrate Retail Finance activities into Global Finance Services within Global Business Services. The role will require creating of and managing the Retail Finance dedicated transition team prior to integrating it into BAU.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Partner with Senior Retail Business / Business Finance stakeholders, Global Process Managers (GPM) and other country & group level Stakeholders to deliver smooth transition of Retail Finance processes into Global Finance Services, in line with organization objectives

- Provide leadership to transitions delivering an effective onshore-offshore operating model in accordance with the Banks Global Service Offering Model

- Finalize Transition Plan including staffing of the offshore team

- Ensure Retail Finance Transitions are completed per agreed time, cost and quality and per the Transition and Integration methodology of GFS.

- Set up necessary Governance, Engagement Model and Communication structures to address risks and issues on the transitions.

- Ensure the transition deliverables are completed per expected service reviewing all assigned processes in order to identify opportunities for quality and process design improvement

- Manage and coach team to get them ready to undertake Retail Finance transitions; work with Retail Finance GFS BAU lead to integrate the resources into BAU upon completion of a successful transition

- Manage Transitioned processes per BAU

- Work with Group Retail Finance team on setting up guidelines related to data security governance in line with Group Policies and monitoring/tracking the team's compliance

- Manage analysis & reporting across all Retail products/segments / Private Banking while the processes are in transition phase

- Interact with metric owners across various functions and get end to end understanding of the metrics and applicability of the same across various Scorecards / reports

- Liaise with customers to finalise Service Level Agreements and other performance and quality measures

- Upholding the Values of the Group and Company at all times

- Responsibilities include recruitment, training, mentoring, work supervision and performance appraisal and manage the infrastructure need of the internal team

- Provide development opportunities through regular engagement, ensuring that all staff is aware of the opportunities available in order to help them succeed within their role

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:

- Group Retail / Private Bank Finance teams at both Country and Group levels including Retail Business Finance teams

- Organisation Design and Retail Business BAU teams in GFS, Chennai

- GBS HR, Finance, Compliance, Quality, Program Management Office, Governance

- Other Teams within GFS

External:

KEY COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

- Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of retail business performance reporting and analytics.

- Ability to plan and manage transitions working with senior stakeholders within Retail / PvB Business / Business Finance.

- Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Transition management processes.

- Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.

- Able to quickly establish credibility when representing the Group, presenting a positive, persuasive and professional presence and have an excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills.

- Substantial experience of retail banking, depth and breadth of knowledge in processes especially in the areas of analytics and related processes

- Strong ability to understand analytics and its drivers and synthesize them into meaningful analyses as required. Design analysis & interpretations as required facilitating management decision making.

- Experience of having led large teams including senior & experienced professionals.

- A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.

- Ability to culturally orient in diverse & international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

- Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant with 10+ years of relevant finance experience, process re-engineering, and organisation Design

- Strong understanding of financial industry, specifically retail banking products and services and Business Intelligence tools

- Exposure in a large international Bank in driving performance effectiveness / business analytics is preferable.

- Effective communication skills, should be in a position to present and influence the senior management in decision making

- Solid people and project management skills.

- Relationship and stakeholder management skills is important

- Initiative and proactive thinking
