About our Client - Our client is a global investment bank with a strong presence in growing markets. Prolonged success in such markets and a strong balance sheet has positioned them for continued expansion. They are looking for seasoned risk & controls professional in their regulatory reporting function in Chennai, which is in line with their initiative at creating global roles out of the Indian market.

Job Description - Reporting to the VP-Regulatory Reporting, your key responsibilities include:

- Daily monitoring of regulatory ratios against internal and regulatory limits and preparation/ review of daily risk weight assets reporting

- Take ownership of relevant reporting controls and processes to ensure reporting is free of material errors

- Ensure appropriate operational risk issues are identified, all level of internal controls are implemented

- Review monthly reconciliations of balances from various regulatory systems to books and records and ensure reconciliations are satisfactorily explained and resolved.

- Review and ensure the control environment supporting the overall reporting process is adequate with proper supporting documents and reconciliations in place

- Manage/Direct a team while continuously liaising with the management, head office, product control, treasury and other key stake holders regarding their ad-hoc queries

- Ensure compliance with regard to regulatory framework of UK FSA or BoE reporting

The Successful Candidate - As an ideal candidate, you are a CA/MBA with 6-9 years of post qualification experience. Prior associations in working in MNC banks or tier-I accounting firms is highly preferred. An understanding of the Basel/Regulatory framework along with an operations risk/audit experience would be ideal. Strong accounting & product knowledge with a general familiarity of IFRS would be advantageous.
