Function – Basel II Measurement and Reporting – MIS Balance Sheet

Level - AVP

LOCATION: Pune, India

DEPARTMENT: BMR

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

General responsibilities:

The role entails working with the MIS Balance Sheet (ARTS) team within the Basel Measurement and Reporting (BMR) function. BMR is responsible for capital calculations as per Basel III norms for daily and monthly reporting to our regulators (FINMA/PRA) as well as for MIS purposes. The MIS Balance Sheet role involves analysis on assets and liabilities, reconciliation with books and records in Ledger and production of the balance sheet. Ideal candidate should have experience in leading a team of 2-3 qualified resources. Must have financial accounting background and possess excellent communication skills. Should be an expert in excel and with good communication skills.

Detailed duties and responsibilities:

Team management

- Manage a team of analyst for BAU tasks.

- Manage the expectations from the sending location on overall delivery and in terms of timelines, quality and efficiency.

Key Deliverables

- Perform Month end adjustments both for Assets and Liabilities as per US GAAP

- Reconcile ARTS balances with book and records and make sure our balances should tie back to ledger.

- Analyze month over month movement and provide commentary.

- Liaise with the Regional Regulatory teams, LEC, PC on an ongoing basis.

- Work on Adhoc queries from FO, Treasury teams and different Business heads.

- Create and distribute required month-end reports for CARMC, SRM, Asset Management, Shared Services etc.

- Work on special projects which enhance data quality and system new functionality and performance.

General tasks

- Provide documentation on the template procedures quarterly.

- Provide sufficient supporting documentation to support compliance requirements

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION SUMMARY:

WORK EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

- 6-9 years’ experience in financial accounting of which 3-4 years in financial/regulatory reporting

- Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Reporting, Using Databases and Querying Tools

- Ability to liaise with business and technical teams of all levels.

EDUCATION

- CA

CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Advanced understanding/experience of databases and query tools

- Experience in Business Objects/ Reporting Tools

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office

- Professional English language written and verbal skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to liaise with all levels including senior management
