AVP - Product Control - Investment Bank

We are looking for AVP Product Control for Global IB Bank in Mumbai.

Responsibilities :

- To ensure that the daily P&L is accurately reported to FO & reconciled between P&L tools & management reporting tools.

- To ensure that the relevant P&L and balance sheet positions are correctly reported and month end and that applicable reconciliations have been completed and all issues identified.

- Provide daily commentary and P&L swings and variance swings and variance investigation to front office trader and senior finance manager.

- Provide advice to business on P&L impact of trade and interaction of the front and back office system, majorily trade and proposed work flow.

- To ensure the applicable accounting standards are adhered to regarding P&L and balance sheet reporting.

- Periodic review of internal policies and control and implement any change required.

Candidate Profile :

- CA / Masters in Finance / Financial Engineering would be an advantage

- In-depth knowledge of Financial product and markets of the relevant asset class

- Good understanding of end-to-end processes of an IB and associated controls

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings & ability to interact with the region and London as part of a global team (written and verbal)

- Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise

- Strong control awareness

- Confident and assertive manner

- Ability to work independently with a spectrum of people from junior finance staff to front office business heads.
