AVP - OTC Derivative Trade Lifecycle - Investment Bank

One of our leading investment banking clients in Gurugram is looking for AVP role Who has strong end to end Trade life cycle experience of OTC derivatives

Designation: AVP (Sup)

Experience : 12 - 15 Years

Skillset :

Knowledge of Middle Office and Back Office processing (trade capture, confirmation, settlements, lifecycle management, etc)

- Competent OR have working knowledge of industry applications: Margin Sphere, Arcadia Soft, Tri Optima, etc

- A good understanding of financial markets documentation (ISDA, GMRA IFEMA, PSA)

Location : Gurugram

Process Overview-

Process deals with confirming & settling the cash flows for the trades dealt across OTC derivative products on value date (both pre and post settlements).

Pre Settlements

Trades that are input by the Front Office people (Traders) appear in the Back office queue. Team is required to confirm all cash flows prior to settlement date within currency cut-offs. Verification of correctness of cash flows & Settlement instructions are done via telephone & email confirmation with client. Team also interacts with Trade Support groups, external clients & other groups, to resolve discrepancies and makes payment before currency cutoffs.

Post Settlements

Investigation of critical and complex breaks pertaining to vanilla & structured OTC derivative business. Perform 4-eye-check and release payments in settlement system. Breaks are reported in live system, it is expected that updates, communications, and other useful information will be input and maintained in breaks system throughout the working day

Job Description-

This role is primarily responsible for managing OTC Derivatives Settlement team as per the SLAs outlined by the Line of Business. The role also demands support to various process related project initiatives, stakeholder management, risk management, handling escalations, addressing queries of settlement & investigations teams.

Responsibilities-

- Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) Support to the team mates

- Ensure that the process transactions are processed as per procedures

- Ensure that the targets are assigned in accordance with the SLAs are met

- Ensure that the quality of the transactions is in compliance with predefined parameters

- Identifying & Making process improvements

- Provide the relevant process reports on a on a daily basis

- Creating process dashboard and MIS reports

- Ensure adherence to governing procedures of the process

- Ensure adherence to established internal and external Risk procedures

- Provide process training to team members to improve their performance levels

- Working closely together with Static data team, Settlements, Traders, and clients to ensure accurate information is updated within our processing database.

- Responsible for clearing of items on the daily exception confirmation / settlements reports.

- Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to priorities daily workload, work accurately and efficiently under pressure.

- To be able to communicate effectively, and clearly escalate queries to local and onshore team

- Liaison with Clients, Front Office and trading desk,

- Experience / working knowledge of FX and derivative products in capital markets is required and previously exposure in derivatives settlement role is mandatory.

- Experience in FX / OTC Derivatives Confirmation and settlements functions

- Escalation of critical risks & non-compliance with policies, standards, and limits
