Overview :

- The Investor Services (InvS) business provides market-leading custody, clearing & settlement, agency securities lending and fund services offerings in 33 locations globally.

- Our clients enjoy the reach of a truly global securities services network, the peace of mind that comes from partnering with a strong bank and the opportunities that our innovation, expertise and close collaboration with the rest of the franchise provides.

- The Business Control Office (BCO) is a newly established function within the InvS front office reporting directly to the Global Head of InvS. The mandate of the BCO team aligns with the bank's top-down emphasis on business discipline, robust controls and regulatory compliance.

- The BCO team will be responsible for ensuring that InvS products and locations comply with an increasingly complex and demanding regulatory landscape, implement a robust controls framework against which business activity can be measured and address key control issues or gaps.

- The product and geographical reach of InvS means that the BCO team needs to expand to ensure consistent and timely adherence to controls framework and regulatory requirements globally. Hiring is being conducted in onshore - hub- locations and a support layer is also needed offshore to create a balanced global execution model.

- At least 4 Business Analysts (BAs) will be hired in Mumbai to provide essential support as part of the global InvS BCO team. The offshore BAs will work closely with the onshore Business Control Officers (BCOs) and InvS subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver a fast-expanding portfolio of work.

- This is a demanding and high-profile role and like the remit of the BCO function as a whole the activities that the offshore BAs will perform will be varied, challenging and time critical.

- The activities that the BAs will perform will include maintaining a portfolio view of all the Reg and Control initiatives that need to be delivered across InvS, analyzing the portfolio to determine delivery risk, supporting individual Reg and Control projects or related deliverables, performing risk assessments for in-flight projects, data analysis and remediation exercises, implementing exception reporting to measure business performance, conducting ad hoc analysis as required.

Key Responsibilities will include a mix of the following activities :

- To provide offshore data and business analysis support to IS BCO

- To provide project support to Reg and Control projects

- To facilitate data collation from different InvS locations

- To produce reporting of Reg portfolio or performance of products / locations versus benchmarks

- To conduct readiness or risk assessments with products / locations

- To make an active contribution to regular team meetings

You will have :

- Strong data and business analysis skills in a Financial Services industry

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Previous experience of managing projects and/or individual workstreams and/or performing a PMO (Project Management Office) function

- Experience of working as part of a global, cross-product team providing support service to onshore resources

- Good knowledge of banking fundamentals

- Knowledge or previous experience of one or more of the following InvS products - custody, clearing, fund services, securities lending (this product requirement is desirable but not mandatory)

- Basic knowledge of banking regulations and / or previous experience of complying with new / emerging regulations (this requirement is desirable but not mandatory)

- Knowledge or previous experience of one or more of the following - deal approval, client on-boarding, policies and procedures, data management, document management, MI reporting

- Ability to evaluate and analyse large / disparate data-sets, remediate if necessary, consolidate and to present key findings
