a) GIS data services is a major service offering within the Digital Business Services practice. GIS services aims to provide clients with navigation services, GIS asset data migration and management operations, network planning and management operations.  b) GIS provides these services to clients like major providers of Navigation maps, industries like Telecom and Utilities and Oil, Gas & Energy sectors  c) Experience and skills in proprietary map technologies of navigation maps clients as well as industry best of breed technologies like ARCGIS or GESmallworld  d) Provides scalable & flexible global delivery with Analytics providing a value lever beyond data operations   - Creation of customized GIS based service offerings for clients in Navigation, Utilities, Telecom and Energy sectors. Plan and create Go-To-Market strategies for these service offerings for each industry sector  - Respond to RFPS and RFQs for GIS services as well as create winning pitches for Proactive pursuits for GIS service offerings  - Role will be expected to scale up to eventually handle large operations teams (100+FTEs) providing GIS services in an outsourced environment  - Design and Create innovative solutions to client requirements in RFPs and proactive pursuits to - wow- clients as well as deliver value to both clients and company  - Supports existing clients with expertise on improving outsourced GIS operations  - Carry out functional DBS domain intensive training for GIS in order to get appropriate domain skilled resources  - Partner with operations teams in planning work flows and process maps in order to ensure that all engagements adhere to the framework and align to the business objectives of the practice, also ensures adherence to the go-live schedule and collaborates with stakeholders, clients and partners.  - Improve domain specific process efficiency and effectiveness to enhance productivity & gross margins  - Identifies opportunity and enables delivery of improvements to enhance productivity for a domain intensive process. (process improvements implementation)  - Partners with Solution & Platforms team to come up with new Platforms or Solutions in the GIS space, provide support and guidance to operations teams to facilitate implementation of transformation projects in order to impact client business metrics  - Execute development and roll-out of domain training programs either internally or in partnership with external vendors in order to build competency within the practice  - Participates in specific initiatives to support practice Head in order to help reach the organization objectives and improving self-competencies.  Required Qualifications: Full time Bachelor's degree along with MBA / CA with at least 10 years of experience in areas related to the Job Description, specifically Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  Skills and Knowledge required:  - Ability to lead teams and work in a cross cultural environment  - Strong Industry and GIS Domain Knowledge  - Project/Program management certified  - Excellent communication skills - written and oral  - Excellent problem solving skills  - Strong Analytical skills  - Strong relationship management skills
