Position: AVP Operational Risk Control.

Job Description:

- To identify measure and manage the operational risks within Financial Accounting. This includes managing and maintaining the global SOX 404 and General Ledger Account Ownership (GLAO) processes..

- To ensure the control environment is operating effectively, the team is responsible for carrying out Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs) across Financial Accounting and certain support departments.

- Work with various Financial Accounting (FA) Teams in Pune as member of Operational Risk Team to drive Ownership of SOX 404, GLAO and ensure FA risks are identified and addressed on a timely and ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities includes:

Operational Risk for FA Pune:

- Ensure Team Leads comply ORC process like GLAO, SOX 404, reporting of issues/incidents, conversion from Team Extension (TE) to Service Level Agreement (SLA).

- Understand issues in FA, Pune including root cause and mitigating action for resolution.

- Accurate classification, reporting, escalation and remediation of operational risk issues for Financial Accounting processes on an ongoing basis.

Key Performance Indicator Reporting for FA Pune CoE:

- Ownership to Finance Workstation Tool that monitors process performance and finally prepare and report to FA Pune Management Team. Ensure Key Risk (e.g. GLAO/SOX/Control Improvement Points/Operational Loss) for Financial Accounting Pune are captured and Reported through Pune Key Performance Indicator Reports.

- Co-ordinate timely and accurate completion of the monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting across Financial Accounting in Pune.

- Complete the compilation of the monthly reporting and follow up issues with the business as appropriate.

Quality Assurance Review:

- Conducting Quality Assurance Reviews on key process. This includes detailed reviews for both Account Ownership and SOX.Liaising with the entity controllers to gain an understanding of key processes.

SOX & General Ledger Account Ownership:

- Thorough understanding of SOX processes and key controls for FA Pune. Ensure timely completion of various activities of SOX 404 i.e. Beginning of the Year, Operating Effectiveness Test and End of Year sign offs.

- Thorough understanding of reconciliation breaks, root cause and remediation plan. Participate in global and/or regional initiatives around GLAO e.g. system enhancements, ownership reviews

Required Skills:

- Strong Interpersonal skill involves daily interaction with Team Leads across Financial Accounting

- Good Stakeholder Management Regional Operational Risk, Pune Service Delivery Leaders

- Attention to detail with consistency in quality and timely deliverables

- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment should be good in organizing and prioritizing.

- Proactive identification of Operational Risk

- Excellent in Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word

Work Experience / Background:

- 7+ years of post CA qualification experience

- Risk Assurance/Advisory (i.e. Internal Audit, SOX 404 etc)

- Investment Banking Experience required
