AVP - Marketing Communication/Corporate Communication - Education Technology

Company Profile: An education-technology company runs assessment test, the largest employability test in India with growing presence in other countries. It seeks to build a GRE/SAT-for-jobs to enable feedback, efficiency and meritocracy in employment markets. Whereas MOOCs is scaling learning, assessment test plays the important complementary role of gauging learning and statistically matching skills to job.

Experience: 4-5 years

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build and develop the Marcomm Team with the organizational capability and skills for effective customer communications. Develop and execute and manage global customer communications programs and related budgets

- Create compelling messaging for AM to effectively communicate the strategic differentiators of our solutions to customers and prospects

- Collaboratively translate business unit objectives into creative strategies that support the company's worldwide marketing activities and goals by Business unit and by market segment and by geography with special emphasis on emerging markets. .

- Build awareness and recognition of our brands globally, directing diverse programs and activities including media relations with trade publications, in-store signage, brand packaging, multi-media communications, competitive analysis and positioning, advertising, direct marketing, trade shows and customer-related portions of the external website. Also directs product launches, strategic partnerships, and product positioning/pricing strategies.

- Follow the established voice and tone for the AM brand, concentrating on customers solutions value propositions.

- Create customer/prospect communications with segment-specific messaging

- Write and deliver public relations announcements; author and edit information technology and industry thought leadership deliverables

- Write and edit publications, white papers, and presentations to align with company messaging, style, and tone

- Update the company website with valuable content that draws and retains traffic

- Build and implement a PR/Social Media Plan with Corporate Communications. This includes creating compelling content for Twitter, LinkedIn and the media to drive traffic to the new website.

- Backup support PR /Corp Comm

Education and Experience:

- MBA/PGDBM in Marketing or a related field is required. Preferably from MICA

- Minimum 4-5 years in a Marketing leadership role

- Demonstrated success with a variety of communications vehicles, including web and traditional product and customer collateral. Outstanding track record of managing large scale projects as evidenced by working with large cross functional groups/managing multiple vendors and completing projects on time/on budget.

- Outstanding verbal communication skills: superior success influencing up, down and across an organization; influencing without authority

- Superior writing skills; including synthesizing multiple business priorities into coherent, relevant and impactful communications/presentations; copywriting/editing

- Excellent researching skills; including probing and fact-finding necessary for public information

- Strong Business acumen and budget management skills and strategic vision

- Successful brand development and brand management experience
