Key responsibilities include:

- Review daily p&l production, taking traders sign off. (Asset classes : Equities, Treasury, Fixed Income, Commodities, FX etc.)

- Ensure timely lockdown of daily and monthly p&l.

- Should be able to substantiate daily and monthly adjustments held in p&l and control accounts if any.

- Review monthly balance sheet, with substantiation and potential financial exposure.

- Review various reconciliation reports, management packs and adhoc reports.

- Review of month end Journals for accrual, provision and true up.

- Take responsibility for the quality of work submitted and ensure that the highest standards are maintained.

- Ensure adherence to SLA’s, KPI’s , Internal metrics & FMG wide policies.

- Identify/ manage risk and control breakdowns.

- Develop & Maintain effective and standard processes. Maintain KOP’s/DI’s.

Stakeholder Management

- Regular face off with Traders, Trading Finance Management.

- Act as a point of reference for team members and internal clients.

- Manage relationship with internal stakeholders, take regular feedback, anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution

- Manage strong relationship with Support teams (trading finance IT, trading finance operations, trading finance risk) and bring synergies by interacting and integrating with cross functional teams.

People Management:

- Maintaining a pleasant workplace environment which is motivating and enables high performance within team.

- Monitoring people performance, providing timely feedback, performing annual and mid-year appraisals. ( including people development, pipeline/skills monitoring, and training programs,)

- Manage leaves and attrition, create sufficient backup / cross trainings.

- Minimise dependency on key people by cross training and succession planning.

- Manage career and growth expectations of people.

- Leverage upon knowledge and skills sitting with other teams at same location or similar team sitting across the globe.

- Enable movement of people as and when required to manage resourcing across trading finance.

Essentials

- Experience in financial services and exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment preferred

- Professional qualification CA/CPA/MBA In finance with experience in trading finance/product control.

- Questions current procedures and has a continuous improvement mindset

- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft office applications

- Preferable to have knowledge on PSGL and Micro strategy reporting tool

Qualifications;

- Postgraduate/ professional accounting qualification, preferably CA or CPA.

- Minimum 5-9 years of post CA qualification experience or minimum 7-10 years of experience for non CAs (i.e. with an MBA, CFA or equivalent).

- Strong background in product control or chartered environment with exposure to financial products such as Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Treasury etc.

- Minimum 2 years previous leadership. management essential

- Willingness to travel overseas
