Role overview: (i.e. Mission)

- This role has been created because of the increase in the volume, detail and frequency of FSA regulatory reporting requirements relating to liquidity.

Key elements of the role are:

- Responsible for the preparation and delivery of internal liquidity returns for CSi, CSSEL and CSUK

- Responsible for the preparation and delivery of all liquidity returns required by the FSA for CSi, CSSEL and CSIUK

- Providing detailed analysis of movements on returns

- Liaison with Corporate Treasury, Operations Collateral Management and Legal Entity Controllers on FSA liquidity related matters

- Liaison with London based FSA Liquidity team

Key Deliverables: (i.e. Outcome)

Peoplesoft Code: KO

- The role has responsibility for all areas and processes relating to the internal liquidity reporting for the main EMEA entities under FSA reporting requirements

Main responsibilities include:

- Use of all main Regulatory systems including STAR and Axiom

Delivery of daily of FSA liquidity reporting to the London FSA Liquidity team on a timely and accurate basis. This include responsibility for ensuring:

- Daily variance analysis on asset and liability liquidity positions in USD reporting currency and all other material currencies is accurate

- Validation of daily variances with product control on a daily basis

- Accurate completion of adjustments posted for reconciling items on a manual/tactical basis

- Daily interaction with treasury to confirm liquidity analysis

- Investigation and follow up of all Treasury queries

- Daily liaison to London FSA Liquidity team

Delivery of all liquidity related FSA returns for the main UK regulated entities (CSi, CSSEL and CSUK). This includes:

- Ensuring returns and reconciliation to source systems

- Delivery of client focused supporting analyticals for review and sign off meetings

- Ownership of clearance of review points, etc

- Ownership of planning for busy FSA reporting cycles

- Contributing to Briefings and Debriefing regarding the FSA reporting cycle

Delivery of Reporting Improvements and Efficiencies across all entities for both internal and external reporting requirements.

- Data Quality review and improvements

- Ownership of a robust control environment including checklists and ongoing review

- Supporting the liquidity reporting manager and providing cover as applicable

- Fully qualified accountant

- Investment Banking experience

- Product experience - preferably experience in a product control/financial accounting month end process

- FSA Regulatory experience with particular emphasis on liquidity reporting would be beneficial

Financial Accounting reports to the Chief Financial Officer,and is led globally. In London Financial Accounting.
The UK Regulatory Team covers Regulatory reporting for entities that include CSi, London Branch, UK Private Bank, CSIUK, CSSEL and Credit Suisse Asset Management entities and is led by Greg Edwards. Laura Powell manages the FSA liquidity reporting for all entities covering both internal and external reporting requirements.

Key specific responsibilities of Financial Accounting are:

- Production and analysis of daily, monthly and year-end Financial Statements and Regulatory reports.

- Ownership of key controls supporting the General Ledger and other reporting applications.

- Overall responsibility for management of key regulatory ratios.

- Advice to front office to facilitate business and maintain control standards.

- Local management of Accounting Policy Group (APAG) staff who report to APAG at Credit Suisse Group (CSG) level.
