Designation : AVP - IT

Location : Bangalore

Experience : Min 12+ years

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To manage all IT solutions and ensure delivery within schedule, budget and to the required quality. The role should ensure innovative and effective solutions to business requirements. The role also manages governance of projects and should build/implement roadmap for each component of IT application landscape and ensure system integration at all times.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Project delivery

- Deliver projects within agreed schedule, budget and quality

- Effective cost and effort estimation to meet TFSIN business needs

- Effectively utilise the vendor based delivery model to meet TFSIN business and project requirements

- Assist and mentor team members (PM/BA) to deliver projects as per expectations

Business solutions

- Utilise auto finance functional knowledge and technical expertise to provide innovative and cost effective solutions to business needs

- Develop and maintain TFSIN IT application landscape

- Develop and maintain roadmap for all key IT applications/systems

- Plan and implement effective integration solutions across various applications and systems

Project management

- Bring clarity on business requirements through auto finance functional knowledge

- Bring clarity on project scope before kick-off

- Effective planning and scheduling of projects

- Effective and efficient monitoring and control through-out lifecycle of the project

- Effective issue, risk and dependency management

- Effective prioritisation of project activities

- Ensure effective and comprehensive testing of solutions before go-live

- Identify user training needs and devise/manage training programs.

Project governance

- Project portfolio prioritisation through governance committee

- Maintain and deliver yearly IT project calendar

- Ensure process adherence through-out project life cycle

- Manage and conduct steering committee meetings and workshops as required

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project status

Stakeholder management

- Effective management of senior stakeholders both internal (senior management team, functional heads etc.,) and external (vendor senior management etc.,)

- Influence outcomes through effective collaboration and co-ordination with user functions

- Resolve cross-functional issues at project level

People management

- Manage and motivate IT team members to realise their true potential

- Effective utilisation and management of project team members to achieve project goals

- Performance management of team members

- Mentor and coach team members

Information security

- Ensure solutions and projects adhere to TFSIN information security policies and guidelines

- Ensure confidential data is secure within IT applications and systems delivered

Vendor management

- Develop and maintain and effective and efficient vendor based (outsourced) project delivery model

- Effective management of vendors and service providers on agreed deliverables, schedule, cost and quality of delivery

Cost management

- Negotiate best possible price point for products / services from vendors

- Optimised spending where we really need to and eliminate MUDA (waste)

- Clear traction and reporting of project budget, actuals and forecast

4. KEY DECISIONS:

- Product / package evaluation and recommendation that meets TFSIN's requirements

- Technology solution delivery approach (package or development) for IT projects considering business needs

- Governance structure and approach for IT projects including reporting

- IT project team structure / skill set composition / growth

- Operational decisions through-out projectincluding vendor / service provider relationships

5. MAJOR CHALLENGES:

- Managing expectations of senior stakeholders including management team

- Strong adherence to timelines, cost and quality commitments through changing priorities

- Vendor management ensuring delivery as per TFSIN expectations

- Effective communication

6. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Educational Qualifications:

- Degree: engineering graduates and/or post graduates

- Project Management Certification (PMP / Prince 2)

- Any other relevant qualifications/certifications

Relevant Experience:

- 10+ years of overall experience in project management and implementing auto finance / lending solutions

- Strong functional knowledge of Auto Finance business including retail, wholesale and other relevant functions (finance, treasury, MIS etc.,)

- Successful implementation experience of business solutions (at least 3-5).

- Experience with lending applications (e.g. FinnOne) and other enterprise applications (SAP, MIS, Treasury, Inventory Funding etc.,) will be highly preferred

- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, network & operating systems to be able make decisions on best IT solutions for the organization

- Strong experience with managing vendors / service providers for delivery and outcomes
