Position - Assistant Vice President - Investor Relations (IR)

Location - Mumbai / Delhi / Bangalore / GIFT City

Our client is the fund management vertical and a wholly owned subsidiary of a leading NBFC. Set up in 2014, they have grown to be one of the leading private debt fund managers in India managing over INR 40,000 million (~USD 500 million) in investor commitments.

Job Objective : The company is looking for specialist to join its Investor Relations team. The primary responsibilities will be towards developing the investor franchise for them.

Responsibilities :

- Develop a strong investor franchise for the company's funds and portfolio strategies.

- Create and maintain a database of wide range of investors (Corporate treasuries, NBFCs, Family Offices, and Private Wealth Distributors

- Arrange for meetings with potential investors and make presentations / pitches for the company's funds and portfolio strategies

- Conduct regular follow-up calls and meetings with current and potential investors

- Create deep relationships with investors and build a strong investor franchise

- Ability to understand investor requirements/market feedback and communicate to the Product team towards new products

- Develop a sound understanding of the products including regulations, tax, and documentation

- Manage end to end transaction closure

- Provide post investment support to investors

- Develop a sound understanding of the sectors and entities that the firm represents, through field visits and interactions with internal teams

- Be at the forefront of gauging investor appetite for new asset classes/products

- Networking within the industry

- Strong sales experience and networking skills

- Interest in financial inclusion and the opportunities that this space represents

Must Have :

- MBA or Postgraduate from a premier institute / CA / CFA

- 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in sales roles - Private Banking, Private Wealth distribution, Mutual Fund distribution, Private Equity / AIF fund raising team or other similar roles
