AVP - Infrastructure estate Management (Financial/banking) Job Purpose:&nbsp; Work closely with Global Commodities development leads, engineering, and operations teams to provide infrastructure estate management, architecture/design guidance, and provisioning/delivery services to the Commodities business. Job Background/Context: The Commodities technology team is looking to hire an individual who will lead infrastructure estate management and hardware delivery functions supporting key business initiatives and infrastructure-related risk remediation Key Responsibilities: 1. Facilitate integration of in-house developed and third-party applications into common technology stacks and processes. 2. Streamline and standardize infrastructure provisioning process 3. Work with development teams to define, submit and track infrastructure procurement requests 4. Work with development and solutions teams to ensure scalability and resiliency is integrated into each application design 5. Assist in the integration of a common set of infrastructure capabilities into application monitoring standards by working with production support teams 6. Work with the infrastructure team to drive standards and deliverables ensuring EOL/EOVS/Capacity Planning commitments are met 7. Assist in defining and building out proof of concept environments to explore new and emerging technologies 8. Provide financial oversight of the infrastructure estate and identify opportunities and economies of scale. Key Relationships/Stakeholders: 1. Commodities and Macro Technology teams 2. Infrastructure leads and service delivery managers for markets infrastructure 3. Engineering leads for Networks and Security 4. Commodities business partners Qualifications: Knowledge/Experience: 1. Minimum 9 years in financial services, deploying, hosting, troubleshooting, and managing platforms for Markets businesses 2. Experience of building a leading-edge, globally scalable infrastructure to optimize network and hosting performance 3. Proven ability to own and drive infrastructure-related projects with shifting priorities 4. Experience in working in a dynamic environment and being part of a larger teams 5. Experience with automated deployments and infrastructure configuration management 6. Solution implementation experience for large scalable and robust systems 7. Understanding of application architecture patterns, hybrid and external cloud deployments, and low latency collocated datacenters 8. Knowledge of Commodities Trading business is a plus Skills: Technical Skills: 1. Strong knowledge of Linux and Microsoft platforms and internals 2. Experience in working with low latency environments and collocated datacenters 3. Understanding of load balancers, firewalls, networks, and disaster recovery capabilities 4. Ability to assess application performance for tuning purposes Soft Skills: 1. Strong communication and presentations skills 2. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills 3. Proven delivery track record in a complex environment 4. Self-motivated, organized, and capable to manage short- and long-term projects 5.
