AVP - HR - Indian Business House

- The AVP HR will collaborate with the Senior Management to develop the company's strategic HR plans and policies (encompassing performance and review management; Rewards & Recognition; Payroll & Retrials; managing Learning & Development, Assessment Centers, Competency Mapping, etc.) and work closely with this group for all operations matters.

- The AVP will act as a key conduit for HR practices, industry information and analysis, to the Senior Management.

- This position requires one to be self-driven, a strategic thinker, effective people's manager, a problem-solver and a leader. This position has high accountability and reports directly to the MD & CEO.

- Responsible for providing operational direction to the HR and Administration team- manage processes and costs for own team and for internal and external stakeholders.

- Be a key player in establishing stonger team dynamics where individuals take responsibility for their areas of the verticals. Evaluate own department's performance and make adjustments to daily operations as needed to ensure the teams meet their overall goals and objectives.

- The role requires someone who can be a key business partner to the Senior Management and the company in general, bringing rigorous HR practices and business sense along with providing leadership within the teams. Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure utmost transparency and sharing of information with the Senior Management at all times. Engage, collaborate and work cordially with peers other departments.

- At all times, maintain the culture Organisation has globally and be driven by the vision

- Cultural fit is mission critical for this position. Managing complex teams/issues is also a must have, since our business saddles multiple and diverse units that need differential handling. A person having worked in a Matrix reporting structure is a good to have trait.

Job Requirement:

This position includes responsibilities of the following areas:

- Direct and oversee the entire administration requirements and company's HR plans in ways that support our mission and overall strategy.

- Fulfilling the role of senior level advisor to management and employees regarding human resources trends and issues.

- Facilitating and providing guidance to management teams in HR matters, directing staff on HR functions, and developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures according to local laws.

- Perform multi-functional role, assist in and responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of HR and Administration (includes but not limited to day-to-day adminstrative tasks and office management, security and safety of premises, insurances, rent and lease agreements etc.)

- Re-engineer operations processes to ensure maximum efficiency in work management, resource utilization, productivity, quality and overall competency enhancement to ensure smooth business and improved efficiencies.

- Hire, guide and evaluate the work of own teams.

- Set individual goals and departmental objectives. Evaluate team/individual performances. Keep teams motivated. Resolve conflcits and encourage team members to collaborate. Manage teams and their aspirations. Responsible for the development of direct reports and teams.

- Ensure all procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices.

- Review/develop organisational structure to support current business.

- Define and document/revise Service Level Agreements with customers (both internal and external) and measure performance, based on pre-determined metrics and ensure targets are met to achieve business objectives and customer SLAs.

- Prepare reports for the Senior Management and MD&CEO using business metrics and KPIs

- Design and act on initiatives for equal opportunity, diversity etc.

- Plan, design, develop and lead complex new projects from inception through completion, delivering projects on time and under budget.

- Advising the Senior Management as required.

- Monthly/quarterly reporting (and analysis) to the Senior Management

- Handle the annual budgeting process for the HR and Admin teams and establish budgetary responsibility and expense management for divisional budget holders. This will involve reviewing and where needed, establishing new procedures and building accountability.

- Taking initiative to identify areas where HR and Adminstration can improve operations and profitability.

- Provide strategic direction for organizational and employee development.

- To develop and nurture Organisation culture and ensure employees are aligned with company's vision and values in conjunction with the Senior Management.

Education / Skills, Experience & Qualification:

- MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in HR from an institution of repute.

- 10 to 15 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Prior experience in strategic HR planning and implementation.

- Ability to use metrics and analytics, read and interpret reports.

- Knowledge of local laws and ability to interpret international laws.

- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP/HRMS systems.

- Prior experience of system implementation and or improvements would be beneficial.

- Effective people management and people development skills.
