AVP - Global Reporting - MI Project - Basel/Risk

- Analytics CoE provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development and implementation, reporting and data management. It forms the information basis for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making to satisfy business needs and requirements along with addressing unforeseen challenges.

- There are primarily four job families in ACoE: Decision Sciences, Information Management, Analytic Consulting and MI Reporting. This role within the Decision Sciences job family supports the Risk Strategy function he role requires leading the central economic capital hub team that is responsible for credit risk economic capital methodology, analysis, reporting and standardization for all major regions in CLIENTS reporting to Head of Retail Risk Analytics

- This role is to support Retail Risk Management in ensuring effective oversight, governance and management of model risk within RBWM. The role requires working on Group wide regulatory exercises and projects to meet demands from CLIENTS’s lead regulator (PRA) as well as the regional and local regulators.

Projects and analysis:

- Effective oversight of models to ensure that they are robust, documentation are of good quality, and they follow the required standards and governance process required by the PRA and local regulators;

- Review and enhance the model reporting requirements in Group RBWM MOC to ensure their effectiveness in providing senior management awareness and action.

- Dissemination, clarification, and consolidation of various regulatory requests.

- Facilitate submissions to the PRA and EBA on ad-hoc analysis covering regulatory issues

- Effectively monitor the modelling gaps, issues, and findings resulting from the IRB model attestation, independent model reviews, and audit reviews.

- Support the implementation of Basel III/CRDIV for RBWM globally in CLIENTS.

- Coordinate with regions on PRA requests and IRB model submissions.

- Support creation, implementation and maintenance of modelling standards and related necessary internal and external policies and requirements.

- For identified strategic initiatives in RBWM, ensuring follow-through and sustaining momentum needed to drive initiatives to completion.

- Provide ongoing analysis and ad-hoc support on requests and projects to the bigger global RBWM team.

Customers / Stakeholders:

- Strong project management and delivery focus

- Demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between GAC leadership team and other constituencies, both internal and external.

- Role requires regular interaction and working with senior members (Band 4 and above) within GAC and across regions.

- While the role will not have any direct reports, he/she must exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization

- Strengthen risk management by producing high quality analysis and reporting. Capable of informing and driving business decision making.

- Liaising with colleagues to analyse and interpret crystallised or emerging risk events, establishing underlying root causes and effective future mitigation.

- Fostering a risk aware culture by the routine embedding of risk considerations into all analysis and reporting.

Skills/Experience Required:

- Bachelors or Master's Degree.

- Minimum experience of 8+ years demonstrating strong trouble shooting and creative solution skills.

- Project management background.

- Background in Basel and modelling is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication skills and project management skills.

- Strong analytical skills with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly.

- Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to identify trends/issues and follow-up/escalate as appropriate

- Personal impact/ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at senior levels in the organization.
