AVP - Fundraising & Partnerships
The Fundraising and Partnerships Manager can expect his or her work to include :
Devising and Updating Fundraising and Partnerships Strategy
- Work closely with the CEO, leadership team, and board to update Kheyti's existing fund development and strategic partnerships plan to accomplish organizational goals as they evolve
- Identify suspected revenue gaps and provide input on tactics to generate new funder leads
- Advocate for strategies and systems that will support the continued growth of Kheyti's fundraising and partnerships functions
Partner/Funder Development and Relations
- Ensure a continuously robust opportunity pipeline big enough to hit growing annual revenue and operational goals by actively managing current and prospective funders and strategic partners
- Conduct research for new funder and strategic partner prospects according to the fundraising and partnership plans
- Research and design the moves management plans for all major funders/partners
- Project manage the CEO's fundraising and partnerships work, directing him where and how to best to spend his time and efforts on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Provide background support for the CEO's partnership building efforts, such as research notes and drafting communications
- Assist the CEO in managing relationships and conversations with funders and partners by coordinating meetings, attending meetings, preparing materials in advance, and completing follow up tasks post-meeting
- Take the lead on drafting initial grant applications / partnership proposals / funder reports / other materials for the CEO to review and submit all final materials to prospects as appropriate
- Provide frontline customer service to funders and strategic partners
Overseeing Consistent and Creative Partner Stewardship
- Manage the execution of Kheyti's stewardship plan
- Think creatively about the stewardship plan and update it annually with new and meaningful ways to connect funders and partners to foster a sense of community
Managing Partnership Operations and Tracking
- Oversee fundraising and partnership operations in collaboration with the finance team - agreements, invoicing, acknowledgements, receipts etc.
- Maintain strong partnership data - spearhead data input and ensure data integrity and accuracy in all records and reports in Kheyti's CRM
- Routinely update how-to documentation to codify and safeguard systems
- Collaborate with program and marketing teams to ensure smooth information flow and consistent and high quality external communication

- Punctual and diligently mindful of deadlines
- An effective written and verbal communicator with comfort presenting to diverse groups of stakeholders.
- A self-starter who works independently, thinks on their feet, and troubleshoots problems.
- Structured and organized in your thinking, in order to develop and refine scalable systems.
- Accustomed to working on multiple projects with different deadlines simultaneously
- A fanatic for follow-up so that you get what you need, when you need it
You need to have :
- 4-7 years of experience in partnership building or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit or social enterprise
- A background in marketing, sales, fundraising, or other roles that have a strong relationship management component
- Professional fluency in English and experience working in international settings or creating / maintaining relationships with international customers/partners
- Experience working remotely and independently
- Experience creating external communications
- Experience being a relationship manager/primary point of contact to customers, partners, or donors
- Experience or aptitude for working with tech CRM, preferably Zoho and/or Salesforce
