Job Description:

Essence of Role Key Accountabilities:

- Impact on the business; MEC, Reporting and Control

- Month End Closure Process and Reporting - Manage the month end close process to include responsibility for overall quality. Timeliness, accuracy, analysis and commentary on all aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for VI Group.

- Management and co-ordination of the appropriate external audits and for the production of financial statements for LOM and its subsidiaries.

- Ensure effective process in operation to accurately capture and fully understand the P+L components outside the R2R COE area

- Ensuring that Sarbanes Oxley process documentation for areas of responsibility is relevant and current and that adequate control schedules are available for management review and audit purposes

- Enhancing our control environment ensuring we achieve efficient and effective controls that meet business requirements.

- Ensure LOM supporting system changes are understood and incorporated appropriately into the R2R activities.

- Relationship Management, Customers, supplier and third parties

- Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders, own and proactively manage key relationships with partners.

- Working cross functionally to ensure a high quality of analysis and insight is provided by the Finance team to key stakeholders.

- Working with other Finance colleagues and LOM colleagues to ensure the R2R COE adapts and evolves to continue to support the LOM effectively

- Ensure all SLAs of the SSC are adhered to.

- Innovation and change, benchmarking

- Working with other Finance colleagues to continually improve the level of service provided to all customers of the function

- Promote continuous process improvement culture

- Deliver to agreed project deadlines including appropriate level of planning/integration.

- Leadership, People Management and teamwork

- Leadership, management, motivation and development of the Financial Reporting team.

- Ensure effective team structure is maintained with clear roles and accountabilities.

- Proactively manage resources and provide ad-hoc support to team.

- Contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of the R2R COE

Knowledge and experience:

- Ensure VF are compliant with VGAIP & International Accounting Standards

- Make recommendations on the treatment of all new commercial propositions and company ventures, including Goodwill assessments etc.

Communication:

- Responsibility for the communication of monthly, quarterly and annual results, including explanation of underlying trends to LOM colleagues and to all internal customers including Head of Fin Ops and CFO.

- Ensure team is fully briefed on all relevant communications and cascades from LOMs, SSO meetings and other relevant meetings
