- Contribute to mid and long term strategic plan and short term operating plan process
- Working with distribution in terms of sales, sales metrics, product mix etc
- Working on bottoms-up costs and align with organizational objectives
- Liaison with an actuarial team to come up with long term and short term cash flows
- Deployment of a business plan once the plan gets approved
- Contribute to monthly variance analysis of all planned parameters
- Critical evaluation of annual distribution incentive schemes and contests and facilitate approval
- Periodic evaluation of partner wise compensation
- Periodic evaluation of contests and sales employee incentives
- Be an expert on the LI financials with the capability to connect all the dots in the business, possess strong actuarial knowledge so that sharp analytics could be enabled
- Provide financial and analytical support to all levels of management across all functions through reporting and analysis of operating results and evaluate the performance
MEASURE OF SUCCESS :
- Strong Insurance domain knowledge and ability to connect between the work of Finance, distribution and actuarial functions
- Role involves dealing with stakeholders who are mostly functional heads. The success of this role is in being assertive to ensure that financial objectives of the company are met at the same time enabling business in their respective initiatives
- Quality of analytics, feedback from internal customers
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Proficiency in working in MS Office (High on Excel & PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge of Accounting practices and standards
- Proactive with ability to understand business and its information needs
- MBA Finance from reputed institute / Chartered Accountant
- 10-12 yrs post qualification experience in finance function in service industry
- Strong analytical and communication skills
