About Finance, APAC Business Planning and Analysis (BP&A)

BP&A Team works with the Business Management and Finance stakeholders and the primary responsibility is reporting and analysis of the financial performance of the APAC Corporate Banking Business.

Key deliverables of the BP&A function :

- Deliver the Management Financials as part of the monthly reporting to Barcorp UK Finance & APAC Regional BP&A

- Business Plan Consolidation and Review process (STP,MTP & RAF) across all stakeholders in Front Office and Infrastructure Functions

- Provide Insight on monthly Client MI / RD performance MI for Corporate Business

- Return on Equity reporting at Business MI level / Cluster level

- Monthly Cost MI analytics including tracking against Plans

- Provide Guidance and Advice to COO- Front Office and Infrastructure COO on Cost and Revenue Issues.

Overall purpose of role :

Reporting, budgeting / forecast and performance insights on Income and Returns across Coverage business and Product for APAC Corporate Banking.

Key Accountabilities :


- Performance Reporting & Analytics across the Corporate Banking Products (Trade / Debt / Cash) including commercial insights to performance

- Manage Group & APAC monthly Reporting deliverables

- Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure analytics and MIS delivery supporting sustainable business growth

- Provide insightful and consolidated APAC & ME management decks to the Business

- Customer Profitability Analysis

- Drive MIS standardization & development

- Support forecasting/budgeting cycles, working in close co-ordination with Business Management

- Ad-hoc Performance reporting support for Regional BP&A/UK Coverage Finance/Business Management & Product Origination teams

Stakeholder Management and Leadership :

This role has close engagement and interaction with stakeholders like APAC Business Management, Regional BP&A teams, UK Coverage / Product Finance, CFO, Business and Infrastructure functions.

Risk and Control Objective :


Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Conpany's Policies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification :


- Highly motivated, results-oriented, stakeholder focused with strong people management skills.

- Good communication skills - should have fluent oral and written English skills.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to correlate general ledger, data and reporting impacts across different interfacing applications and data flows.

- Strong interpersonal, analytical, facilitating, decision making and organization skills.

- Ability to multitask effectively.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications :


- This position requires an analytics professional having extensive understanding of the Corporate Banking Products and the drivers affecting the Income and Returns from reporting and budgeting perspective.

- Qualified accountant (CA).

- Experience working in Coverage & Product reporting function.

- Proficient in MS Office.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications :

- Sound knowledge of financial accounting concepts and banking applications.

- Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data, aggregation and analysis of data on MS Excel to produce reports.

- Understand key performance measures and indicators that drive reporting and analytics.

- Experience in driving process improvement programs.
