Grade : AVP

- The team is additionally responsible for processing all cash transactions and for the monitoring and approval of the advisory fees and reimbursable expenses of the Investment Departments. It also provides operational support in the development of new business initiatives and products and has co-located some aspects of its work program to deliver its work program on a cross support basis.

- The team providing cross support interacts with colleagues in Washington on a day- to- day basis and ensures that the service level agreement is met.

- This position is based in Chennai and reports to the Head. This is a technically specialized position that will monitor the processing and accounting of a variety of Treasury transactions, including bonds, swaps, etc. S/he will be required to work across the various Team functions and become a fully functional team member within a short time-frame.

- The position requires the ability to establish productive relationships with staff at all levels within the Team and with all units of the Corporation. S/he will be expected to follow HQ holiday calendar and a flexible time schedule in support of the Treasury Singapore and London hubs. The selected individual will be leading the team in Chennai, ensuring team deliverables are met in a timely manner.

- Additionally, the selected individual will actively participate in day-to-day business activities and processes, performing specific tasks which include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and responsibilities:

Duties :

- Validate and authorize new transactions executed by various Treasury trading desks.

- Liaise and provide guidance to Treasury front office staff for trade capture requirements

- Attain thorough understanding and experience of settlement and payment servicing activities, applications and processes

- Perform transaction analysis and propose system updates for accounting operations and reconciliation activities

- Liaise with HQ functional leads to coordinate program activities

- Develop effective relationships with internal and external key partners and clients

- Develop a thorough understanding of the organization and in particular Treasury

- Seek quality and performance improvement opportunities and solutions

- Act as back-up in the absence of other staff

Selection Criteria :

- Master's degree preferably in finance, accounting, business administration, or system development required. CA, CFA or CPA would be good to have.

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in similar financial operations role in a public/private financial institution (including IFC/IBRD) or the finance function of a public/private corporation.

- Extensive experience in a transaction processing and settlement environment essential

- Good knowledge of treasury products and trade processing experience

- Good knowledge of treasury back office controls and reporting

- Good knowledge of treasury product accounting

- Good knowledge of Summit Treasury system a distinct advantage

- Knowledge of SWIFT and other settlement systems

- Knowledge of IFC processes, procedures, and documents a distinct advantage

- Ability to contribute to team performance with strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Self-starting, highly disciplined and team oriented individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong Team Management, Leadership capabilities.

- Fluency in written and spoken English required
