A LEADING CONSUMER BANK IS LOOKING FOR AVP- FINANCIAL CONTROL BASED OUT OF CHENNAI.   Position: AVP- FINANCIAL CONTROL  Exp: 13 to 16 yrs   Qualification: CA   Location: Chennai   Job Description   - To assist the Head of Financial Control & Risk in all matters related to financial control, operational risk management, compliance to Financial Control Policy and ad-hoc projects.   Key Roles & Responsibilities   1. To ensure financial control policy and compliance monitoring measures are in place and being complied with.   2. To lead Global Financial Controls teams that support various countries and perform as Financial Control Unit as defined in Financial Control Policy  3. To improve and strengthen financial control environment in the Bank.   4. To provide advisory support to Business Units on financial control and other risk management matters.   5. To identify financial control weaknesses in the Bank and engage with stakeholders tom implement control measures to close the gaps.   6. To track all financial control issues and liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve the issues within the agreed timeframe.   7. Review results of periodic reconciliation exercise and escalate exception / non-compliance to senior management; engage with stakeholders to review root causes and implement mitigations.   8. To ensure the accurate preparation and timely submission of monthly operational risk meeting papers and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reports to Finance Operational Risk Committee.  9. Partner the Business Units on operational risk matters to ensure business growth is balanced with risk management and control. Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities, timely identification and reporting of significant risks and losses and effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.  10. Drive and implement an effective risk management framework, and promote a strong risk management and a compliance culture.   11. To ensure adherence to the risk management framework in identifying, controlling, monitoring and reporting of risk.   12.
