Our client is more than 2 decades old NBFC registered with the RBI. The company was set up with an aim to empower rural entrepreneurs, SMEs, and small institutions by micro-financing. The company has come a long way since its inception in 1992 and has evolved with time with the introduction of its App in the small loans sector. At present, the company has more than 5000 employees and has serviced millions of borrowers to accomplish their dreams.

The group has diversified into the education segment and is running two schools. The schools are part of one of the largest private school chains in India. The schools have a flourishing family of 350 teachers and 6500 students. The leadership team at the helm of the company has demonstrable experience in financial services and has built the company by upholding the trust of its customers.

As a AVP - Finance, you will be responsible for handling and also providing guidance with regards to all the financial aspects of the company.

What you will do:

- Managing the appraisal of credit proposals, scrutinizing of relevant documents before sanctioning loans and management of disbursement of loan amounts through operation teams, ensuring compliance with organizational credit policies.

- Carrying Internal Audit and identifying & reviewing internal checks & controls system for various processes of client's organization, analyzing deficiencies with efficacy & exploring the scope of improvements therein and designing new internal controls.

- Reviewing of the company's systems, risk analysis and assessment.

- Advising clients on tax planning (within current legislation to enable them to minimize their tax liability) and tax issues associated with activities such as business acquisitions and mergers.

- Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small businesses.

- Advising clients on business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (corporate finance).

- Counselling clients on areas of business improvement, or dealing with insolvency.

- Detecting and preventing fraud (forensic accounting).

- Liaising with internal and external auditors (where applicable) and dealing with any financial irregularities as they arise.

- Preparation of financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.

- Arranging financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting.

What you need to have:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum 4+ years of Banking & Credit Monitoring Analysis (CMA) work experience.

- Immediate joiner will be preferred.

- Excellent proficiency in Excel.

- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.

- Accuracy while dealing with numbers.
