AVP F&A Operations (Insurance Process - CA / ICWA / CPA / CIMA only)

Purpose of Department :

- Responsibility includes rigorous control over all month end accounting activities of Insurance Business – HK & EU Region – high level purposes are : To ensure robust controls are in place, high quality of pre close activities, handling SOX activities, queries related to various projects driven at On shore and Off shore, Interim analysis reports for management review periodically and support to Senior Management in Business decisions related to finance world.

Job Description

Impact on the Business

- Responsibility for closure of monthly financial books with a high degree of accuracy which will aid in high level of dependability on reported numbers and MI arising there from.

- Provide leadership in driving efficiencies and standardization across HK & EU entities which worked on inconsistent practices.

- Achieve efficiencies through synergies arising from different entities reporting under one leadership.

- Provide technical support to team.

Customers / Stakeholders

- Maintain excellent working relationship with onshore business partners.

- Coordinate with onshore for any changes to process for achieving efficiencies.

- For responsibilities on migration, work with stakeholders to ensure proper coordination to achieve migration project targets.

Leadership & Teamwork

- Provide leadership and direction to teams to ensure smooth BAU and achieve process efficiencies.

- Provide feeds to line on team performance / business partner relationship and proactively bring exceptions / issues to the notice of leadership.

- Foster good team work to ensure high level of motivation and control on attrition – create avenues for people development.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- Review KPI performance sheets on monthly / periodic basis to keep tab on individual and team performance.

- Review and revise MSII documents on periodic basis to ensure controls are implemented across teams and processes.

- Ensure all process level documentation are reviewed and updated periodically.

- Focus on control and risk aspects within the processes and provide adequate mitigation.

Skills/Experience Required

Academic Qualifications

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CWA /CPA /CIMA) or Management Degree holder (with A grade Institute line
IIM/ ISB/FMS, etc in Finance stream).

Years of Experience

- 10 + years of post qualification experience in handling Accounting Operations in an MNC BPO in the
Insurance Process.

- Experienced in Accounting / Reconciliations and Finance role preferably in a Banking & Related portfolio
accounting in Insurance Process.

- Responsible for all Service Delivery deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.

- Be a people leader and demonstrate people leading and development capabilities.

- Ensure compliance with standards and Statutory requirements

- Has strong technical understanding of accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their
application.

- Oversee and hold responsibility for new migrations and FTE growth. Work with Migrations team to achieve
Go-live and BAU status.
