1. Position Summary
- The role entails building and developing a high performance team responsible for or a variety of Asset / Investment Management functions;
- The incumbent will be responsible for providing vertical leadership and managing implementation of improved processes and ensuring compliance;
- The person will be required to forge strong relations with Senior Leadership both onshore and offshore, Center of Excellence in Paris, Operations & Support functions and all key stakeholders.
- The person will be “LEADER” for Project SHIP at repoting to VP Finance & Accounting. Project SHIP covers 8 European countries and entails setting up a shared service center in Pune. Process involved include Trade and Asset Servicing Investment Accounting & Reporting and Look thru’ accounts (Funds accounting) etc.
2. Key Accountabilities & Competencies
Accountabilities:
- Providing vertical leadership and managing implementation of improved processes in asset management and ensuring compliance.
- Identifying the business changes impacting the Asset / Investment management processes and playing a vital role in shaping a business strategy.
- Designing new processes / improve processes / converge / standardise before or after migration
- Transition Processes from countries to the FSSC
- Developing strong service level agreements with COE/countries.
- Leading and influencing the management team to deliver and exceed business objectives.
- Build and retain a high performance team.
- Working independently and directly with COE managers.
- Build an effective communication plan with the FSSC and COE stakeholders.
- Build relationship and confidence with COE to identify and evaluate future business needs.
- Manage Resourcing including hiring for SHIP
- Manage budget and financials for SHIP

- Should have led large Investment / Asset management teams, with specific focus on Trade & Asset Servicing , Investment Accounting & Reporting, and Internal Controls

- Assist in development of strategic vertical agenda and shape the planning process including key metrics to drive each business
- Actively engage with external customers of the businesses, building relationships and leading commercial negotiations at a senior level.
- Prior Project management experience in migrations/transitions
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of insurance business;
- Experience in handling a process team with proven ability to drive client SLA and facilitate process enhancement to meet delivery goals.
QUALIFICATION : Chartered Accountant from BPO/ Financial services / Insurance
