Startedby a bunch of passionate professionals that include a Columbia Business School Graduate & industry veterans with 20 years plus experience across e com, FMCG, IT & telecom.The Team has the vision & capability of making BoomAGift the Facebook of gifting via a host of sticky features that build social conversations around gifting.   While the Venture is in a Boost strap mode right now it has the ambition to go global in the near future on back of its unique asset light, scalable business model and a highly experienced & globally networked team  Job Responsibilities :   As a AVP Engineering you would own end to end development and operations of high performance mobile application in android & iOS   You would need to build best in class data/machine learned algorithms and platforms for product, Write flawless programs fast and efficiently while supporting overall objectives of the Company to deliver a world class product   Simplify the complex wish lists into actionable plan, limit scope and execute on daily, weekly and monthly release of features and functionalities that can help consumers and business.   Freeze tech stack after evaluating current development, company needs and collective skills. In view of building a platform that can render at a faster speed and do calculations at run time. Review, recommend and agree on a set of technologies and tools that are ideal at the current stage and provide perspectives on future changes.   You will be gathering business requirements in as much detail as practically feasible and build detail technical specs where necessary to establish new versions of application   To build a comprehensive architecture that takes into account a lot of data science and long term vision for scalability.   Review and modify the architecture over time based on changes to plans, challenges and opportunities that may be presented.   Develop high level functional and design architectures and develop detail architecture that can help coding with significant clarity   Job Requirement:  As a individual contributor you must have experience in android application coding (primary), iOS & PHP (secondary)and should be able to do coding yourself  Should have very strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with End-to-end understanding of the software development process   Should have a deep understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available set-up   Should have a deep understanding & expertise with highly transactional, large relational and complex systems   Must possess traits of thriving to work in a start-up environment, Ability to Multi-Task in an ambiguous and very dynamic environment  Education from IITs / Pedigree institute ONLY.   https://play.google.com/store/apps/details- id=com.grapes.boomagift&hl=en  http://www.boomagift.com/
