Group Legal Head ( AVP /DVP ) for a Conglomerate

Purpose of the Position:

This position is responsible for managing Legal Function for the Group:

- Leading Legal function for the Group in close collaboration with Chief Mentor, Business CEOs and critical stakeholders

- Specific Transaction support, in relation to Strategic Buy/Sell Opportunities at Business/Asset level including wrt contracting and compliance.

- Providing expert and strategic legal support to Chief Mentor, Business CEOs and Group and other key stakeholders across the Group and advice on Legal matters as needed. Setting internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors.

- Spearheading critical-High value & High impact matters viz. Corporate, Civil & Criminal matters

- Leading Critical Litigations, Arbitration, Contractual matters, Writ petitions, CCI, Regulatory, Labour & other legal and enforcement related matters etc to appropriate closures

- Mentor, Guide, Support and review business legal teams and cases on regular basis

- Provide legislative and regulatory updates that may impact its business model and operations

- Key Stake holder Management (Internal as well as external viz. Legal firms & Counsels) for driving Legal cases

- Drive high level of documentation support in Contractual matters with an intent to minimize litigations

Must Have:

- Must be working in present organisation for more than 5 years with exposure to manage large team. Must be experienced in handling senior team members DGM/GM Level.

- Exposure of working with conglomerate is a key criteria.

- Must have in depth working exposure in Arbitration , Legal disputes- Contractual, writ petitions , Litigation management , CCI Matters regulatory related.

- Candidate must have good communication skill.

- Candidates from Bank , NBFC & other Financial / Investments companies are not preferred.
