AVP/DVP - Events Management (Female only)

This is for a large insurance company based in Mumbai
Job Role:- Organize and project manage all distribution / channel meets at national and international level.
- Conceptualization of events and procuring all necessary approvals in advance
- Finalizing and managing vendor partners in conjunction with procurement team
- Manage a cost budget related to all events across channels to effectively utilize drive synergies across teams to reduce cost and maximize sales.
- Design and drive communication for all the events to create buzz and excitement in the sales force, Design of collaterals, procurement of materials, etc.
- Adherence to compliance requirements related to skill building and training sessions, attendance records and other needs for detailed record keeping.
- Conceptualize and implement local events/meetings out of the FPCs to drive culture building across all regions and zones.
- Liaise with internal team and clients to find out their exact event requirements.
- Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Plan with procurement team to research venues, suppliers, and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire.
- Manage and coordinate with event agencies and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicize and promote the event.
- Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers and delegate packs.
- Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget.
- Manage a team of staff (1), giving detailed briefings to extended vendor teams.
- Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed by the agency to ensure no liabilities for the organisation. (compliance to local and national rules)
- Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
Experience:- Management postgraduate with at least 10 - 15 years of experience managing small and large-scale events at national and international level.
- Should have led a team with experience in retail sales environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage the relationships with stakeholders at various levels from CXO to front line sellers.
- A very creative bent of thought process to design collaterals, create buzz and hype in large gatherings.
- Good communication skills and ability to solve problems on the fly especially in event management areas.
