Position: AVP / DVP – Bancassurance, Large Banks or SME Banks
Location: Mumbai or Bangalore
Reporting to: Head – Partnership Development & Management

Job Purpose:
- Responsible to develop prospect pipeline and close Bancassurance partnerships of SME / Large Banks partners that would deliver agreed volumes as per plan.
- The job incumbent will be responsible for the overall development and execution of the acquisition strategy, leading the process from inception through to the signing of new partnerships.
- The role will be responsible for creating implementation plans for all acquired partnerships by working with various internal and external cross-functional teams
Key Responsibility:
- Identify, solicit, prospect and secure new business relationships, generating new income for the company to an agreed annual target in ANP sales.
- Actively manage the acquisition process together with Head PD&M: pipeline development, value proposition, due-diligence, engagement, business plan s, closure, agreement , execution plan and hand-over to fulfilment teams
- Develop overall partnership development action plans for affinity relationships to ensure achievement of revenue targets including market intelligence, business segmentation, competitor analysis and customizing our value proposition accordingly.
- Manage RFPs/RFAs of large banking partnerships
- Display flexibility and creativity in finding innovative solutions to beat the competition in an increasingly competitive market. Create compelling value proposition by keeping up-to-date with the new product developments and enhancements
- Create strong relationships and engagement with prospect organisation at all levels on a continuous basis. Remove gate-keepers and road-blocks for upward engagements
- Create client proposals, contracts and any other documentation following procedures aligning with Head – PD&M.
- Manage negotiations, development of business plans, deal and agreement structuring and support Head – PD&M.
- Interact effectively with other departments including the fulfilment teams when handing over accounts, ensuring accurate and comprehensive briefing on all aspects of the partnership.
- Support in Managing relationships of all acquired accounts. Remove road-blocks to facilitate execution
- Furnish time-to-time reports on prospects and deals to the Management. Work as a team to deliver overall departmental objectives
- Build and lead a strong team as an when the organisation has scaled-up to an optimal level.
Experience:
- Total of more than 10 years with min. 6 years’ experience in acquiring large Bancassurance deals.
- In-depth understanding of the Banking and Bancassurance businesses models
- Strong relationships and networks within the Banking sector, particularly in the Public –sector Banking segment
- Value-driven - ability to create robust win-win value –propositions and strategic fit for the partnerships
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business profit drivers; where product would sit within the complex operations of a client and how to embed it.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in local languages - both written and verbal. Good command of English as a second language where applicable.
- Strong presentation skills and highly engaging - able to influence and persuade organisations to take action or gain buy-in
- Confident negotiator with good closing instincts and abilities
- Persistent and tenacious in both driving for results and overcoming challenges
