Opportunity with a reputed Banking MNC in Hyderabad & Kolkata for AVP Credit Risk.  Role Purpose   The main purpose for this role is to contribute towards building a sound quality asset portfolio and a conservative credit culture while ensuring that the credit recommendation process remains responsive to the needs. The role also involves assisting the Vice President with the management of the centralized credit risk management function in a Service Delivery location.  The jobholder shall have the following responsibilities -   - Evaluation & appraisal of complex credit applications / Enterprise Valuations within specified thresholds for Wholesale Banking businesses in the United States ensuring adherence to appropriate credit standards in line with Risk policy & guidelines  - Deliver a high quality output within SLAs  - Strict adherence and maintenance of appropriate credit standards in the recommendation / approval and control of lending  - Participate in maintaining a stable lending portfolio within Group and Wholesale Banking policy objectives  - Provide support to VP / Onshore Project Manager in the expansion & management of the centralized credit approval unit for HBUS  - Actively assist in recruitment and training of the team  - Design & implementation of operating procedures in line with core tasks and responsibilities   - Liaison with onshore and respective business areas on quality and volume of workflow  - Manage relationships with various stakeholders   - Coordination with local & onshore support functions for infrastructural and HR related issues  - Management of the workflow within the team to ensure efficient operation of the unit  - Development & generation of MI to monitor quality / quantity of outputs  - Performance management and employee engagement  - Ensure business continuity and stability  - Participate in the CoE & local SD management activities  - Assesses complex credit proposals submitted / Enterprise Valuations required, undertaking appropriate analysis and making final recommendations up to the appropriate and agreed thresholds, on the basis of professional credit judgment and in accordance with Bank Lending Policies. Timely delivery of well-balanced recommendations / assessments, delivered with professionalism  - Contribute to the achievement of the operating plan with respect to revenue, impairment charges, risk measures and RWA impact  - Identifying credit risk in complex credit proposals frequently involving highly structured transactions and borrowers with intricate financial arrangements  Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications   - Commerce/ Economics/ Engineering Graduate  - A management degree in finance/ CA/ ICWA/ CS   - 10+ years of relevant credit and risk management experience  - Comprehensive understanding of credit products, accounting & financial analysis  - Excellent verbal & written communication skills  - Demonstrated people management & leadership skills  - Strong negotiation & persuasive skills
