Overall purpose of role:

- The AVP Contract & Commercial Management is a role in the Operations Shared Services organisation based in Chennai. It shall support the Service Operations and Outsourcing CoE Leadership team in Commercial, PO and Invoice management activities for India based third party suppliers in client's Corporate, Retail Banking, Investment Bank and Wealth and Investment Management.

- The role also supports Outsourcing CoE leadership in providing oversight and strategy inputs on key location strategy decisions including but not limited to oversight of staff on boarding, change control framework, value tracking and inventory management activities

PO and Invoice management: The incumbent would be responsible as key contact within India service management to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders for oversight, monitoring and management of PO and invoice workflow with suppliers; ensuring control and governance of PO budget, utilisation and renewal, develop framework and mechanism to track spend and outstanding. Incumbent to establish process maps, RACI matrix and execution calendar for these activities and ensure seamless delivery and governance process around commercials

Change Control Framework: Embedding and management of the Contract Change control process is a key commercial management activity and when there is a requirement to change the services or the way in which they are delivered, it is essential that the contract is updated to reflect this change in requirement and this change must be formally agreed and accepted by both parties. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and managing these changes, develop and implement a change control framework, ensure appropriate documentation update and track to ensure obligations do not get missed. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for consolidating, tracking and publishing a supplier wide and group wide change control view

Enhanced Supplier Commercial Discipline and Oversight: Incumbent is responsible for establishing an FTE/Invoice reconciliation mechanism, develop tracking process for PO, payments and outstanding invoices, develop and circulate guidelines for handling invoice disputes including specific commercial management discipline including MI in governance meetings

Service Credits and Financial Claims Management: Incumbent is expected to interpret service credit and penalty clauses from Master Contract and statement of work and provide SME support to stakeholders in handling financial claims in risk events, default and performance issues. To act an intermediary between stakeholders and suppliers for handling service credit and relevant claims related matters and provide appropriate resolution and advise

Development of Commercial Models: Incumbent shall be responsible for developing various pricing and commercial models for outsourced services, and supporting Sourcing function and Business Units when called upon, and also support the Business Units in implementing these pricing models once contracts are signed

Governance Framework Review: Provide sign off from service and commercial management perspective for all new migrations ensuring coverage of defined governance framework in relevant statement of work/sub-service agreements, ensure embedding of relevant risk and escalation procedures in these contractual documents.

Team Cost Analysis Activities: Incumbent shall also be responsible for tracking and reporting Outsourcing CoE team costs and variance from annual budget, as well as be involved in cost reallocation analysis and discussions as required

Your Skills and Qualifications will include

A high quality education and a strong academic track record from reputed school

Commerce Graduate/ or CA/MBA/CPA or equivalent with approx 7-9 years experience in Financial Services Environment

The ideal candidate will also have appropriate knowledge and skills of commercial and contract management

Self-starter, capable of working under own direction and without direct supervision, work with local senior management, expectation to be spread across multiple sites, occasional travel etc

Possess an all round knowledge and understanding P2P (procure 2 pay) cycle, invoice management and payment process and contract/statement of work know how (Preferably from a Sourcing background)

Commercial and contractual background, contract life cycle including understanding of Financial obligations, rate card and charging model

Strong analytical, decision making and MI & reporting abilities

Ability to lead and influence the teams and groups towards decisions professionally

Must be independent yet a team player and able to work with and through others
