About the role:

If you are the right candidate, you feel at home being the spider in the compliance web. Compliance has high visibility within the organization and you will work with many departments to ensure payroll is at a minimum meeting their compliance obligations but we challenge you to go above and beyond.

- You will work with the Senior Manager Global Payroll Compliance to create tools, metrics data and write report on activities we monitor.

- The focus is to mitigate risk and ensure the company has an outstanding reputation for meeting their compliance obligations, internally and externally.

- This includes development of tools to monitor 3rd party vendors who are partly responsible for compliance reporting and potentially payments.

You will have the opportunity to make a difference. This is a high profile area and requires a manager with the ability to identify and prioritize business critical risks.

Job responsibilities:

- Identify compliance risks and opportunities in different countries and propose a solution on how to get to a state of full compliance

- Analyze tax and financial data and identify risk and opportunities

- Provide continuous improvement feedback to the teams and leadership

- Work closely with the all payroll teams in all geographies to ensure understanding of compliance and continuous training on compliance

- Document compliance policies and communicate this across the business

- Analyze audit reports from internal and external auditors and provide a plan for immediate and long term improvement

- Develop and coach the payroll teams on compliance rules and processes

- Attend and initiate regular meetings with stakeholders

- Work with the accounting team to perform a pre-audit of the books in case of an audit

- Build a relationship with the HR teams and the Tax team to support them in case of international employment assignments

- Core team member for cross border taxation, including development of payroll policies and documentation of cross border taxation

- Core team member to ensure compliance for new country implementations and/or new benefit implementations

- Core team member for Global Compliance review

- Prepare White paper for management reviews

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required

- Experience in international payroll compliance

- Continuous drive to increase your personal development

- Excellent knowledge of international payroll tax and social security legislation

- Development of metrics data and compliance dashboards

- Strong excel and reporting skills

- Strong communication skills

- Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple compliance projects

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

- A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

- Strong and proven knowledge about cross border workers, tax treaties and other international employment legislation

- Fluent in English in both written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CA/ICWA Preferred.

- Previous experience within a control or audit environment is a plus

- 2nd or 3rd language is a plus

- Project management experience is a plus
